A-Z Of Food.

We have that in common. Used to have regular dinners with in laws and the Chinese food was always swimming in garlic. By time we reached home my stomach was doing back flips.
Yeah I'm the same, I can't stand the taste of it or the smell 🤢

Good fibre but very hi in sucrose, fructose, and glucose. I try to stick to low sugar fruits.
Agreed about a date's sugar levels. I'm cautious about sugar, salt, fat and junk food ... being pre diabetic, now well controlled with Mediterranean salads and keeping active.
My Salad ingredients: Lettuce, red onion, red capsicum, cucumber, tomato, raw garlic, olives, beetroot, raw chilli, shredded carrot, coriander, avocado, ...

I have all the common food's glucose levels printed and stuck on the back of my pantry door. I aim for foods with GI scores under 50. However, it can get confusing with Dates at 103, Figs at 61 and Prunes surprisingly at only 39.

I don't add sugar or salt to anything. Much prefer my food as it comes, especially fresh vegetables and hot beverages. I'd never dream of putting sugar on cereal, I can imagine it to feel gritty as I ate it 😮

I have to say I use Steviol sweetener often in beverages, cooking, Greek yogurt and even cereals Jessica. It is 100% natural and very healthy, unlike white refined sugar.

I avoid salt and sugar too Jessica. Likewise I rarely eat junk food stacked with fat, salt and sugar.

Ditto. Sometimes you have no choice as many foods have their own nasties, like saturated fat, so I make a point of choosing the lowest quantities. There seems to be a concerted effort to make many processed foods gluten free, yet little effort to make them sat fat free too.

Sounds like a good choice.
I enjoy food without seasoning it, occasionally I'll add vinegar to my chips or tuna fish, but apart from that I don't add anything. I love to taste food as it comes, like mashed potatoes without salt or milk, or when I boil fresh vegetables I don't add anything to the water.
