Australia vs England - The Ashes 2021/22

We were talking about Stokes. Take a squizz at his figures.
90 @18 bat, 3 @70 ball.. That is a woeful contribution to the Pommie cause.

I'll back you on that. You watch today he will come out and score a biggie to cement his spot in the eyes of CA.
I'll probably be listening to it on Triple M/SEN early on as I have a few things to do this morning.

Australia 4-134 at lunch.

Has not been easy going for our boys this morning as there is plenty of assistance for the England bowlers. If we can eke out some sort of a lead that will be good.

Harris fast becoming another Shaun Marsh. Fails miserably in general but when the axe looms he pulls off a miracle and we're stuck with his mediocrity.

He's at least trying to play like a test batsman.
However, he gets found out often and gets out.

76 or not I think he's got to go.

He simply doesn't pull off these knocks on a consistent basis which puts all the pressure on Labuschagne and Smith to come to the rescue.

I'm in agreeance.
He needs to play like an aussie cricketer at state level to get him used to being more relaxed.

He did all the hard work tho. That is the grating part. Take a look at his footwork in slow motion. Too slow. Is never in position to cover his off stump so when he plays the ball it is too far from his body. His technique is simply not Test standard. ditto Travis Head.

Not easy batting conditions with the Poms bowling well and getting plenty of assistance from the grassy deck. Cam Green 6 from 38 balls. Gives you some idea of how hard scoring is.
