You hear how he earned the nickname of Barrel. Evidently he was big lump of a teen when he played as a batting all rounder. Shed some 15ks when he started to take his cricket seriously before making his first Vicco side.

No idea tbh.

All I know is the selectors have a headache on who to drop if Josh Hazlewood is fit for the Sydney Test. It'd be a brave move to drop Boland after that performance.

Fair point, although there has been previous instances of an England captain quitting mid series after a couple of heavy defeats in the Ashes.

Still have vivid memories of Graham Gooch quitting as captain mid series in 1993 paving the way for Michael Atherton to take over.
