I see the Golden Boy didnt make many this week. I hope all the fame and fortune isnt going to his head. The thought of winning the Cleary could be costly for him.

A bit tough on Pete Moore their, Chief. He has been bowling sustained pace this year for long spells and has over 20 wickets. Nobody has taken to him all year. And that back injury he got a few years ago had him taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

I am happy to be corrected, SteveO. The BCA (& point) needs people like Moorey firing!

Im not entirely sure how the senario would pan out but having read back through the pages it has become apparent that the pointie heads have taken the term 'tight unit' to a new level... Love is a beautiful thing however the way Josh appears to be head over heels for yourself should be kept under wraps... Does the mardi gras clash with finals time for point???

maybe you can let us know polecat

I'm not sure. Now leave me alone. I'm trying to make a booking for a B&B in Daylesford. Plus with all the crack, back and sack waxing.....

i wouldn't rule out naps yet. Faulkhead is just starting to bowl again and should be firing by finals time. he bowls at good pace (not his top pace) and importantly bowls with the wrong arm.

Wendouree are always tough but considering their form over the last three semi finals (they were favourites in each one of those) i don't think you can jump down points throat about it.

Point, to win a finals game will need big scores from Sven and White to have any hope, and a fantastic 40 over spell from Pete Appleton. the bowling will be their biggest issue without moore with Swardsy having to carry the load, he is not quite up to it yet.

East are proven performers in the finals over the last few years and are well balanced all round, Jezza missing up until finals means he may be a little underdone but his heart wont allow that to stop him contributing.

Mt Clear, same issue with Blake not playing at the moment and with the exception of Jeffo and Fletch the talented other batsmen don't really dig in when the going gets tough. They only needed on to hang around with Jeffo on Saturday to win this week but they couldn't do it.

Any team can win it but my tip would have to be East

fair assessments?
Naps are gone.

Mounties always have a knack of performing in big games. Wendouree are quality. Skinner, Pyke, Miller, (& now Dixon) coupled with Delmenico & Johnson suggests they are just about to tweak their nipples and get some good results.

East are cohesive unit. They could really do anything when they are in gear.

Wide open, but my tip is Wendouree.

Quite amusing... I havent a problem with yourself, i was however quite concerned with the passionate admiration directed your way by a clearly impressionable young buck. Perhaps we let him have his say.... in due course obviously.

Of course you're not going to select your own team so I reckon East - by a fair way. Mt Clear's bowlers will be be underdone (not much they can do about it) and Johnno hasn't played a voteworthy game since Round 4. Need good attack over 4 days.

i think it is very very close to a prepare for next year injury

Moorey does have an immense pain threshold, possessing the ability to push through the barrier when all seems lost.

I liken him to Lazarus. Carried off against Redan last year crying, then allegedly fronts up to Country Week 2 days later with a boner ready to go.

My sources may be pulling my leg here though. SteveO commented that Moorey has had a very good year, so I could be barking up the wrong tree.

F%$#K Swardsy, chill out, Sven is having some fun with it. You just seem that it bothers you WAY too much. Dont worry mate, I'm sure the Golden Boy doesnt cry when he reads this, so need for you to defend the lad so much.

Dont worry about wophead, he goes very well indeed.
I too would like to back up Wopheads thoughts, I have heard that Mr.Moore is known to go down with "season ending" injuries only to be selected the next week.
I think its happended alot less this year becuase he has taken wickets right????
When things arnt going his way, me thinks he decides to have a little rest. Now I'm sure wophead wouldnt do that.

Does that seem to be the responsible thing for the club to allow? Moorey may have a tolerance for pain as describied, however he appears quite young still - early 20's ?? - and to go on with an injury may only prove detrimental to his longevity in the game. I understand point are in a position where the majority of the bowling revolves around himself and appleton bowling tight and taking wickets but surely the club must bite the bullet and not let him play. Taking unfit players into a finals series is always a risk as the mounties may well know, being in a similar position with a reliance on players who are not 'match fit'....

Jedi, Jedi, Jedi. You are on the money mate.

Credit where it is due though. Moorey has ability hanging out of his proverbial.

Good to see him get some wickets, but when the pressure is on he is not the bowler you throw the ball to. SteveO I am more than happy to send through the number to Moorey, but I know he already has it.

Well the latest i hear at point is that the panic button has been smashed through the floor with the injury cloud surrounding one p.moore... it would amuse me highly to see the side leave him out for a weeks rest with a severe case of 'losers limp'..... ohh yes, that old chestnut.
