Yes Bam Bam would have thought you would slot yourself straight into any team....are you captain of that as well? Well done on the Vic Country win none the less.

Bouncer - any truth at Wendouree to the rumour that Yates actually ate his bride on the honeymoon?

Good to see you can count mate.

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

Some big Games between now and the end of the season... Top 4 far from settled, top 5 sides probably a certainty, but with the possibilty of rain through the finals could be fierce for those top spots...

Anyone care to share some insight on who they think will be a match winner come finals time?

I found out last night Fletcher has only made 30 runs for the season! could he be due to carry the mounties through a memorable finals series or will he go down in flames?

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

By the way just got one of my mates to chuck a post up on the BFL thread at Bigfooty, just saying that if anyone there follows ballarat cricket that there is a thread over here. So maybe we will see some fresh faces and fresh insight shortly...

You're doing a great job at it as well.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm ? Mate if you don't like it, go off and hang with your goal umpire buddies and measure your dicks. How big is it?

Love your work Don. Although after going to that link I have a feeling someone is flattering themselves.

Yeah we copped a bit on the other sites, shame really. You try and do something to make this whole thing a bit more interesting and you get wankers telling you where to go. Oh well.

Oh and yes thanks Pidge, your support for this great site is also appreciated.

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

Saw the country week sqaud on th Courier website today, and I see that they did make Brett Jones captain of the team, is he related to the very ordinary coaches Huntly and Collins? He must be because there is no way you would make a player that bad captain of the 'Best' team in Ballarat. I hope Ballarat gets pumped because there is no way they should win with some of the players that have been selected in the squad. Where are the following players Bambury, Knowles, Hopkinson, Cartledge, Kane, Yates, Irving, Collier, Jeffrey, Fletcher, Young, Kentish, Blake, Delminico etc...... and thats only the ones I can think of!
Imagine what the best team would do to other rep sides at Country week....

I agree colonel. Firstly i think the coaching job should be a paid decision, so that their might be some interest of leaving work for a week to do it, rather than getting the first person you can find cause no one wants to do it. This would lead into the second reason which is that if you have a good coach that actually has an idea, then the players will be more keen to play. I personally don't care who is coaching. I'll play anytime i can, so if i got the option i would jump at the chance. Whether or not i am in the top 20 in the league or not.

I agree Don, If it was all done a bit more professionally then the right coach/team/and results would be achieved.

Also the blokes who are lucky enough to be picked should be rapped as its an honour to play in the best team from your city. Would you happen to be one of the selceted players?

I Think Stevew Nicholson Is Going To Win The E J Cleary Medal This Year

Clearly you jest Don. By the way you should check out Big Footy as someone is over there using your handle and defending Steve Nicholson's decision to leave Redan. Seriously the Cleary would be between Sime Allan and Les Sandwith wouldn't it? Unless Banwell can poll votes for that in the twos this weekend. Is that an inspired move to set standards at a club or are Naps cutting off their nose to spite their face in a cut throat game this weekend (he did play ones at premier league level last year)?

Simon Allan hasn't really played that well going by what I have seen and read in the papers and on the news. I reckon it will go to Heath Pyke. That guy can bat

Simon Allan shouldn't win it on ability but he has taken 40 wickets this season!
Heath Pyke will be right up there for sure. Bam Bam you would have to be a chance wouldn't you??

Now more importantly did anyone notice that Ballarat's country week captain Golden Point player B.Jones was dropped to club seconds (making 7) this week upon returning from leading the country week side to a winless last position! Golden Point again showing that they are deep thinkers of the game.....Enough said?

Jones will be at Naps next year. He is Peter Huntly's new love child
