perhaps i owe an apology here.....my critisism was not directed at chris morris. i dont know the man & im sure he is a good bloke.

my critisism was aimed directly to you pidge. my school teacher mr shaw was a good bloke as well, knew stuff all about cricket, but he would listen if you had a problem, perhaps i should put his name forward for the job!!!!!!

just admit it pidge, no-one responds kindly to your posts, coz u have proved time after time that you know stuff all about the game.

by the way, had a few beers with burnsy over the long weekend, you know, that bloke you reckon i no nothing about. he said to please leave his umpiring achievements out of a cricket conversation board & he would appreciate it if you stopped using his name as if you 2 were best mates. cheers.
Mate you really need to grow up. You don't have to play cricket to post here.....
You can just support it. Like what I do.
You continue to have a dig instead of actually talking about cricket. Now go away unless you are going to talk cricket.
You are full of shit mate. You talk a lot of crap on here. You post on here when you are pissed and get stuck into me. now piss off and leave me alone.|@

Chief, do you have a program for the over 40's that helps run off winter beer consumption without busting the boiler !!

Hey STICK there is hope for everyone!! I have managed so far to get my olds who are mid 50's to lose about 10 kilos each in about 11 weeks, so if they can do it, I think pretty much anyone can!!! The problem is winter has only just started so I am anticipating a lot more beer to come, which could be a problem!!!

The major focus of losing a few pounds and getting fit is multi faceted, have to limit unhealthy food (and beer) intake, have regular small meals throughout the day, consume less energy than you burn, and expend energy through exercise. Best exercise is cardio, but must consist of varying intesities, walking and constant slow jogging has some benefits, but varying intensities through interval, fartlek and hills has much more benefits than slow steady state exercise. Start slow and build it up. Dont wont to bust your boiler but you need to do it consistently at least 3 or 4 times a week.

Doing weight training is also important part of getting into shape. Helps limit muscle loss from cardio and helps increase bone density, muscle strength etc. Dont need to go to gym get yourself some dumbells and a fit ball if you dont have them already. plenty of fullbody workouts you can do in 30-45 minutes to help lose weight, get strong and avoid injury. Never to old to start!!! Write me a personal message if you want more info, or good luck and dont drink too much!!!

I did hear a little whisper that 'Hammer' Huntley could be taking up to 3 players with him to north. One of which is a left armer from the Grand Final team to go as captain. That could be a good step to North being competitive this year but could upset alot of facers. Only time will tell.

Don't think he'll go to North, more likely to captain Naps, they'll stuggle without Leech and that hack from Avoca - the golden haired boy out of the picture so neither of the finalalists to figure next year, especially with Jeffers hanging up the boots - looks like Wendouree will be the team to beat this year.

What was that? Is that fair dinkum? Has Paullllll retired? I know his back is stuffed but it would be surprising as he seems to love cricket.

I reckon that rumour has been around each pre season for about 3 years now. I couldn't see him giving it up when they will be losing a few players. No chance of him retiring in my opinion.

Expect Paull to drop down the grades when son Jack is ready to play fourths. 'Bout 10 years left for opposition sides to work out how to consistently nullify him.

I know Paull Jeffery. He's not a guy that will call it quits all because people spread rumours about him.

He could possibly drop down to the twos.

Dont worry pidge I think its great that Ballarat Cricket Association has attracted followers to its message board, if we want to compete for funding and improve the competition we need to get people on board who play, have played, are knowledgeable about cricket or are cricket lovers.

But what I highly suggest is that you be one of those silent supporters, by all means follow and support the cricket, read the Bulletins and continue to research and learn more about the game of cricket and those who play in the BCA. BUT It really does no one any good having you continue to comment and make statements without any real substance or knowledge behind them. Most guys on this bulletin have played cricket in the BCA for a number of years, a lot have played at the highest level in Ballarat or beyond and most have a good understanding of Ballarat cricket and its operation.

So Pidge thanks for trying to give us valuable insight into the going ons in Ballarat Cricket and ensure that we dont go off the beaten track in the comments we make..... but as a wise man once said.....

Spread your wings and fly.... fly far far away.....

Dave Ellis

PS. it is good however to see you promoting a very good cause in the McGrath foundation, I commend you for that.

That's what you and cobbler are neglecting. You don't have to play cricket to take part in the forums.
I am a cricket follower. I support Mount Clear and I don't like idiots who continue to push the Sam Newman style of crap by saying women and sport don't mix. Look out next time I am umpiring you lot you will get a shock at how well I know the rules.
You will find that if you go to any footy game, you will find that there are plenty of women who umpire footy. But still there are idiots going around saying that women and sport don't mix. I am not here for that sexist crap. The world I live in is full of equal opportunities and not this shitty attitudes from the blokes who live in the 80's.

I think i can speak for 99.8% of the people on here and they are not concerned that you are a woman pidge. The main concern is that your posts have no substance and never add any insight into the discussions on here. You are made to look like a fool with the random dribble that most of your posts contain. E.g. suggesting that Chris Morris would be a great coach just because you think he is a nice bloke and a good teacher.

Also what has your goal umpiring skills and knowledge of football got to do with cricket. In case you haven't noticed this site is called big cricket and not big footy.

If you are a follower of Mount Clear can you actually comment on some of their games in recent history, their players form and ability etc. All you do is look at the courier and think you are an expert.

please leave this forum surely you have had enough hints by now.

Pidge,

Think you need to learn how to read, no reference was made to you being a women, dont really care what gender you are. I am concerned with the fact you continue to post messages that have very little substance. Now you mention you support Mt Clear I am even more perplexed..... I will give you an example of what I am talking about, just to help make it clear....

Topic
Paull Jeffery - Mt Clear Stalwart.

Carpet Legs AKA Matt Clark (Mt Clear stalwart played with Jeffers for 15 years or so) - Makes statement that it is unlikely for Paull to move down the grades until his Son is old enough to play seniors with him (In about 10 years).

Pidge - Makes comment I know Paull..... He may step down to the twos......

Now why would you make a statement like this after someone as well regarded and as close to the source as Clarky has already made the previous statement. Shows a great lack of understanding on your behalf, especially if you know Paull so well.

Its great to have opinions, free speech is a wonderful thing but wait for a topic you know a bit more about... Maybe the one about afternoon teas a few weeks back would have been a suitable one!!! hahaha. I have no problem with women in sports as I am sure is the same for most people on this forum, I played cricket with 2 of my sisters growing up and one played for the Ballarat team for a number of years. She knows a lot about cricket and we have good conversations regarding the topic, but if she posted half the crap you did I would tell her to get off and stop embarrasing herself.

Keep up the good work pidge, you are a highly valued contributor, whether your female, male or other....

Paull Jeffrey will not 'slip' down the grades this year. He is the Best and Fairest of a premiership team and i personally have seen no signs of him looking like or wanting to do so. If only i new Jeffo as well as you pidge. The only thing he will step down as this year, will be keeping. The Don has spoken.

Napisan I will not leave the forum. I am not an idiot. I don't need to put up with the constant rubbish that you and everyone else who types up things thinking that it's ok to type sexist comments about others.
You only have to look at your reputation Napisan. It tells me that you need some improvements big time. And posting this sort of thing to me isn't going to help you improve.
The fact that I haven't been able to get to any of Mount Clear's games due to moving house during the cricket season means that I haven't been able to get down to any of the games. The fact that I also have got a life rather than some of you blokes in here who continuously have a dig at some of the fans all the time makes me realise that you guys are a bunch of wannabes.
I can look at the paper if I want to. There is no rules against that. In fact you guys don't know the rules of this forum.
Looks like that equal opportunity doesn't exist on here due to many of the guys in here having a dig and thinking that you have to play to post on these forums.
Get a life and go and play elsewhere. I have already put cobbler14 on ignore. If I was moderating this forum I would have given a few of you some decent infractions for your general rudeness.
If you are going to post on here please be respectful without the shit that these mods have to deal with.

I haven't made any sexist comments. Can you point them out to me? My reputation is only red because of you pidge. Nobody else has complained. I am not saying that you are not allowed to read the paper. But that's the only way you would get info about cricket which means your knowledge is lacking subtance. By the way does it really take 6 months to move house? You must have such a busy schedule stitting at the computer labs at SMB all day. You were given an equal opportunity pidge unfortunately that ticket expired a long time ago. So you saying becuase I don't like you i should play in a different league. That's the funniest thing I've heard in ages.

I will give respect where respect is due.

Maybe you should read what that idiot Cobbler14 has posted then. He has been an idiot since day dot. He only comes on here to attack other people and should be given his marching orders.
There is no expiry date on equal opportunity napisan. That's why I am pointing the finger at your comments. That is sexist by a long shot. Just goes to show how grossly immature you really are on here.
In fact I could get in contact with moo, burnsy and Paull Jefferies and they can even point out to all of you out there that you are seriously out of line and need a good kick up the arse.
Any wonder why Chris Bambury and a few of the others don't post on here any more.
