Barclay Shield 2024/25

Kudos to the dvca for pouncing and getting daz and the boys at newly named ' sportsup' formerly nfnl footy show, it'll be great to show case all clubs and give some social media attention to.
Couldn’t agree more

Well done to Flacky for reaching out to Daz and both parties working together

Let’s be honest cricket needs a real shot in the arm to be relevant and this is a great initiative

Long time reader, first time poster - Doesn't appear to be Tommy Emmins keeping at Epping these days, whats with the new kid giving everyone sends off? Gave 10/10 to Berg and appears to give a couple of clips to the Bundoora guys. The sledge is not dead!

Doggies way too good for the Heidelberg.
From what I saw yday, looks like it’s gonna be a long season for the bergs.
Doggies top 4. Lookout.

Looks like Tommy E had a day out up at Research would have been good to watch.
Falke with his 2nd ton of the season must be Barclays most improved
Heidelberg not getting a W so far also surprising - they will bounce back sooner or later.
Creek and Research early favourites for relegation in what appears to be a more even year
Riverside look ominous and the reigning champs just chugging along quietly.
( what's going on at Banyule and Plenty both planted in Money ?)

Wonder what has happened.
Are they missing players?
It looked like Bundoora United were in cruise control.
Favrin looked like he was 30 years young again.

Bully boy was up to his old tricks in F1. Running away from Barclay and C Grade.
Tells a player to get on the ground and s$ck m$ very small appendage. Given our team has many juniors, what a terrible indictment for cricket in our great competition.

a very tight season in Barclay.
North Eltham and Riverside look to be a cut above the rest of the teams so far.
Rosanna and Macleod formidable top 4 competition for them. I think everyone else is just playing for 5 and below.

Bundoora United failing to have even live scoring going for the second time in a row at their home game is a disgrace in this day and age. I was under the impression that if you didn’t live score in shield grades you would be fined, will be interesting to know if that is happening with a former BU clubman running the DVCA. Macleod also had no scores live for their game, what’s the point of rules if they aren’t enforced?

Knowing from when my associated club played them earlier in the year, Macleod didn’t supply their own scorer and have also done this the last couple years against us.

Come on Jaedyn… got anything to say mate? Normally full of voice
Word on the grapevine is that Epping are forfeiting their B grade for this rounds game. Sad state of affairs, and amazing that they can’t get a second XI team up after the success of previous years.
