As of 9.32 pm Keajai,Saul and the oasisless Bottsy have not bothered the scorer with their round 4 tips.Penalties will apply if they do not meet the Peter Peter deadline no more merl nice guy.

Nice to hear from in US of A and you obviously are staying somewhere with a decent internet connection.I hope the Aussie dollar is standing up for you and you enjoy game one of the world series even though it was a bit one sided.You obviously saw no need to alter any of your tips.

If Merl's fading memory serves him correctly I vaguely remember Congress discussing and very quickly rejecting a 10 team competition which would solve a lot of problems in the grade imbalance and would cut out this slap and run one day games as all teams could play 9 two day games.Arch and I have had vigourous discussion on the topic over the odd one or hundred frothies on the boundary line.By the way Arch won't see you tomorrow as I am jetting into to Perth for a birthday bash of an old aquaintance.


Arch congratulations on posting your century as you add another one to an impressive list with the bat that Merl was previledged to see over many years keep the good work up.
Uncle no jellies in the T20 , were they invited?Also have you seen any of our former posters from the newly named for now Jelly nought Park?

Evening All,

It seems like Merl and the gang have been on an extended holiday.

I have just re lived the child hood by watching the Sintaro documentary on SBS I hope Arch and Clocker I think was the other fan got to see it.nOt sure how it would go in the political world of today.

Saul & Keajai you are both on a minus 1 suspended sentence for being late.

Quilton poor old Saul in his rush to get his tips in late put both in but win lose or draw he will get no points for that game.

All other tipsters you are now on notice any tips after the peter peter deadline is an automatic minus one penalty as Merl will be getting as bad a reputation as Barrack's tribunal.

Congratulations to the Woolnough scribe a very efficient and well documented day 1 of the Bluff Rd Cup.A bit of pressure on you Jimmy with the new kid on the block producing some good work.

Good to see the old Burger Bourbon getting the bang crash wallop going to resurect the two blues after Merl said they were gone.Not the first time Merl has been wrong but it doesn't happen too often.

Merl's new buddies Cluden are rolling along nicely and should have too many runs for the jelly twos.

Unfortunately Uncle Mick's mob didn't do so well at the home of cricket but maybe they redeemed themselves tonight in the t20.

I see B proved just how hard a head he has got by head butted the red cherry going off for a Bex and a ly down and then coming out to give the Lake mob something to chase.Should be interesting.A nice cameo from the remaining oasis Bott the younger.

Without sticking the merl neck out too far I would say Wallett Park gone and the sky blues are quickly finding out that money does not garantee success.

The Golf club will need to start landing a few on the green or they could be on the down escalator rather than the up one.

So just for any of you confused BCF you can make comments on the games during and after just not before for some weird and wonderful reason that merl decided in setting up the BTC.

ha ha ha, jelly noughts!! not bad.

they're probably spending all there time polishing a heap of premiership medals and hanging up a comp record amount of flags.............it must unreal to win so many flags and do it so easy, without paying big bucks to try to win one....maybe one day it'll be some other clubs turn to be so unbelievably good.

hopefully the east sandy boys will get back on the BC website.

BMF,

You have been hanging round with your name sake and probably partaking in some of the product that has made him so big.

While not wanting to lower the high standards achieved of late let me set you straight on a few things.

The jellies have been paying players since Cantlon and Head were running the Bingo sessions to enable them them to pay the big bucks just as Wallett Park did to pay Whatmore 20 large.

They have lured players from other clubs to join the Foreign Legion on the famous one year contracts just ask Hiddlestone and Smith.

They pillaged Chelt Park by enticing Dallas,Duddy,and Jenkin to the point Chelt Park were destroyed.

I could go on but I am sure the other members of the BCF could fill the blanks with a few other stories.

So don't make me laugh, not that a jelly could , by saying you haven't paid the big bucks as your mob started it.

As an ex cmca player was interested to find this thread, after reading the posts for the last month thought i might join in the fun. good to to be able to get more info from here than anywhere else. merl, just have to ask, your hatred for east sandy seems to run very deep. guessing something they did to you or you just dont like them. uncle mick, have a good night at the valley the other month ? Hampton centrals return to form would be thanks to dwyer coming back from what i have read.

David, i couldn't agree with you more. Asp-Edi were also routed by the Jellies and after being a major player in the last two Jelly Flags, the lad has taken a liking to playing for cash and has joined our other x-cmca cash grabber down Doyles way. Any chance of a rundown on those two T20 games if anyone has any info?

news alert for east sandy haters.......

esbc are in the process of building new club rooms, bigger and more spacious.
the old rooms are running out of space to hang all the premiership flags, medals, photos, winning scorecards, pennants and honour boards.

merlot you will simply never ever, ever get to be as good as or win as much as or ever be more victorious as the gold champs. you just can't hack it you were never good enough. you old spanner.

maybe they could lend you a medal to wear for a day to see how it feels.

Yes BMF I have heard this as well. In fact they are considering abandoning Duncan St and moving to the spiritual home in Elliott Ave in Parkdale so the players and supporters dont have far to travel to watch the Jellies.

While attempting to keep the site free of suspension I only have two things to say:

In the words of Bob Dyer, pass me the gaff Dolly, I have hook a couple.

In the words of Uncle Mick, don't get suck in by these jellies you are better than that.

Further without stealing Uncle Mick's thunder either Brighton Union or Barrack and co could at least provide some results of the T20 for us.Below is what I have cpoied from the Highett West website.

Highett West Cricket Club played Brighton Union in our first ever Twenty20 match last night as part of the inaugural Bayside T20 competition. Unfortunately, the result didn't go our way, but the boys represented the club well and played the game in the right spirit. Special mention must go to Kerod Burton & Kim Stewart who dominated through the middle overs taking 6 wickets between them. With the bat it was all Stewi Anthony who showed the boys how it should be done making 41. In the end we came up short being bowled out for 100 chasing Brighton Union's 143. Bad light made it difficult for our batsmen, but to Brighton Union's credit, they turned on the floodlights and their bowlers came off shorter runs to slow it down a bit an even things up.

Thanks must go out to Noel Pullen and Brighton Union CC for the invitation to play and for their hospitality in hosting last night's game. Well done again to all involved in representing Highett West in it's first ever Twenty20 match and we look forward to our next match on November 18 against Cluden at Wiliam Street.

If anyone is interested the second T20 Between Elstenwick and Cluden at Elstenwick park no.1, Elstinwick 7/83 defeated Cluden 10/80.
