9 players. One of the boys within their camp tells me it was a pretty soft effort. The jellynoughts were 4/219 when 2 players were 'injured' and left the field. Seemed to spark the boys up though cos they took 6/19 after that.

first time ive heard anyone call cluden 'soft' - but a top effot on all acounts. Interesting to see that c baldock has still got it after all this time, must be one of the best going around in woolnough.

Intriguing take on things considering Dwyer's played 19 of the last 20 years at Hampton.

Didn't Jimmy Olson leave his beloved Hampton Utd and captain/coach Moorabbin West for one season? He went back to HU but didn't take any players with him. For so many players to all leave at once, there must have been issues.I think you are drawing a long bow to suggest that it was a brilliantly hatched scheme to infiltrate the club to recruit players.John Le Carre you are not.

"The new alphabet doesn't quite understand that a forum is a place where people can express their opinion as long as they stay within the rules.Jenkin actually started at Omega and Merl will comment on whoever he likes providing he does not breach the BCF rules"

Yes he did, as did Pete Manakis who is currently stranded on 99 games for the Ommers.

Sorry Merl, 'Slim' refused to give me any wise words of wisdom after being branded the 'B' imposter last season. But the Ommers are traveling along nicely with 'Slim' back this week to face the Redbacks.
In Wooly, Cal "sword' Wilkinson has got his boys nicely gelled, and with himself in career best form (232 runs) and some really exciting juniors making their mark, it's a real positive vibe down at Bricker.

Just a few well known players celebrating milestones this round, Daniel 'Tiger' Bourne plays his 300th game, Charlie 'Chris' Yanni his 200th and Darren Haw his 150th.

Good luck to all teams.

I presume you meant to quote the other guy as I agree with you.

Now excuse me whilst I google 'John Le Carre'

You are correct Clock as always. Fresh challenge was required at the time but didn't quite pan out as hoped although enjoyed the season and MW finished 5th or 6th but was not planning on the loss of S.May as soon as I landed there!!!. Players need to be ripe for the picking if they are to make the move. Campbell now playing against his old team for his older and current team in the BRC anyways and made a nice ton last round.

Adding a bit more to the debate, Duddy started at Hamp Utd, as did Brudes!!
Nice to see you picked up on the "sword" Ordy, I hear hear Wilko wields a fine one on & off field. Just need "Queen" Scorgie to get amongst them soon so we can give that another run but Jimmy is on hols from bugle for 4 weeks, enjoy Sugars musings!!

Re: City of Moorabbin Cricket Association 09/10

The end of a long hot week,

Keithy I agree I have never foundf Cluden soft but I an sure the jelly babies were soft after the defeat.

Could all forumsters take the time to give the administrators of the BCF some feedback of your good things and things needing improvement as they do a great job for us.The post is at the top of the home page.

Sugar

Merl may get a big head, it is the BTC remember.

Clock

Who is John Le Carre or Milton what did Google turn up?

Ordinary Bloke,

Slim could never be a B imposter as he is as straight as a die.Maybe we could mount a campaign to get the real B back as he has the bat talking so what about re emerging on the BCF?

Jimmy,

Best wishes for the holidays and thanks for the advise that someone will be able to present the BTC on air.

Burger,

I look forward to your PM next week.

Louis Armstrong

Still no air in your trumpet yet!

Uncle Mick,

Has the injury improved enough for the left arm slingers to cut a swath through the Hampton United batting line up?

Saul & Bottsy dragging the chain as usual.

sorry merl have not been on the forum for a while been to busy taking the young boy around melbourne for cricket. just to add my two bobs worth about players from other clubs if you are talking cam dwyer from hampton centrals he first started at brighton union many years ago as a junior

Re: City of Moorabbin Cricket Association 09/10

Sunday Evening and you are probably all Tigered out,

Congratulations to Sugar and the Woolnough scribe who at one stage I thought was the same person but until the closet door opens I will remain in suspense.

Without their wonderful contribution we the cricketing public would have no idea of the scores as Hiliary or whoever is responsible for the scores again failed to make the Sunday paper deadline which I am sure the BTC leader will have his say on if he can find a note on the trumpet.

Uncle Mick

I have found someone who spells worse than Merl and as he is only using a popgun he should have plenty of ammo left after his one post per week pathetic effort.

Clocker

Couldn't wait for the monster to tell me that John le Carre is an English espionage author, but maybe you could tell me who is attributed to this message

It is not whether you win or loose that matters, but how you play the game that counts!

Also Tiger Woods late father was once asked, did you always want your son to grow up to be a great golfer? to which he replied

I was more concerned that he grew up to be a good person who played golf well!

Please take heed friend of the 4 berth BBQ .

Jimmy,

The ship is falling apart in your absence you need to tell Tommy to turm off the mike while the ridiculous 5 minute song was playing as an introduction this morning when we nearly got Sugar and Hammer's life stories blaring out over the song.

Blairy

Nice to hear you are still alive there were reports you had left the country after the footy GF.Are you any close to identifying the terrible two Arch & Merl?

I see the lad had a respectable 0/32 off 15 overs against the doggies yesterday to give the students a chance to chase them down on a day made for batting. Are you getting frequent driver points as you traverse the many different highways of outer Melbourne.Do you stick the L plates on?

Attention any Congress members

Please update the website as there was a tribunal during the week and some of the results listed are 3 to 4 years old which really shouldn't be still appearing.most of the cricketing public are interested in the result of a CMCA legend facing the music!

Let me start some post mortem that you other BTC participants will also need to lodge in the next week to remain in the contest!

The redbacks have posted a competitive total at the brick, but if Slim can get into stride the ommies could get up.

Moose and the boys dismissed the Beach boys for their lowest score and should get them easy, while Merl jumped off the lakers too soon and should have followed Louis led as 326 will be too much for the judge and Sugar's mob.

The Golf Club with iron gloves back with a half ton posted their first reasonable score but it should be loose change for the sky blue millionaires.

The Cluden v Omega BRC should be a Kevin Bartlett thriller Diller with Merl jumping off his love child side, who ripped through the ommy twos, but old man river Cruwys breathed a bit of life back into the contest to have it even stevens at the boutique Williams st oval.Anyone's game needing Bill Collins to predict the winner!

Front runners RSL have come back to the field with a thud and the former wicket keeper Vaughan picking up 3 for and the champ set to give that protective netting a bit of a pounding the luckless union twos could get home.

Down at Dog park the jeckell and Hyde Brighton District performed without Captain Saul's tips being submitted still, have the oasis less Bottsy mob looking over their shoulder , but a glance at the selected teams show no Smith or Hill and Saul would have improve his strike rate about 4000% percent to get the team home.

The Burger Bourbon less Hampton Central have 247 on the board against the jelly twos and if Cluden can do it with 8 players the september champions surely will get the job done.

The old staggers at the laker twos have put up a big tally at the Caulfield Park desert that the inconsistent ANA will find it hard to chase but with the ground faster than Yousan Bolt ( not sure of the spelling Uncle Mick )as James Bond said never say never.

I look forward to reading a few more post mortems and also encourage you to give the BCF your feedback on the first post about your thoughts on the forum.

until next time.............. vino sipping poster........... Merlot
