Based on their previous history if it had been the Wanderers bowling with a 2 piecer against ANA they would have claimed the 10 points lodged an investigation and your skipper would have been suspended for a year and their website would have melted.

Clockman,

What previous history are you talking about?
At least ANA have proactive people who manage their web site and also their club well.
Half of the information relating to issues within the CMCA are found first on their web site, '' have to agree with Merlot '' with his comments about the lack of gumption with the CMCA web site.
Just a quick check, noted that most other clubs in the comp do not update their web sites, with the latest club being the the boys from Nepean completely off the air waves.
Maybe too many player payments and can't pay their web site bills.
I'm not too sure if there is anything the Guru's from the CMCA can do about the 2 piece situation, you would think they would have done something by now.
Keep up the good work Merlot, how was your trip?

CLOCKER,

Yeah im not sure it just seems they dont really make any decisions??

BTW - Based on the Wanderers reference i assume you know who i am! Sorry mate but dont recall anyone known as Clocker? Please let me know how you are?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Uncle Mick

Perception is one of my strengths. As I stated your vast experience with forums is greater than mine,I am only assumimg by ham & cheeses absence banned means banned like oils mean oils.

I didn't think your head would be the right size to fit two caps on and did you follow the long list of first year paid players who come second season the money just dried up?

Any way I have a few others to reply to as it is no longer just you and a few bears have come out of hibernation.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Army & Clocker

Just nipped in for a quick look at the in effectual CMCA website and still nothing from Barrack or Condalisa.

Ceasar will cross the Nile again before you get anything out of the CMCA executive.Yes the very ones Brett is telling us to leave alone!

My limited knowledge of the rules is that as eSBC were batting they supplied the umpire who then takes on the official duties of a normal umpire if there is such a person. So I would first point the blame at the gold cap umpire for making mistake no one.

Secondly my further understanding that having commenced the game should have proceeded and then be referred to the CMCA executive who if they were brave enough to make a decision would have said the game continues the second week with ESBC using a 2 piecer or it reverts to a one dayer.
It depends what mood Barrack was in as to what decision he makes and whether he wished to publish it for all of us to see.

ESBC having lost too many wickets took their bat and 2 piece ball and went home.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

tst6ts,

Your silly name is a bit long so I have abbreviated it.

Let me put you straight on a couple of things as there is nothing I like more than a vigirous debate with a gold cap.

I have never had a jealous bone in my body and yes I know how tough it is at the top as I have been on top of the heap many times but have been more gracious than the arrogrant, big headed, sledging and bad losers wearing gold caps.

Your stats were partially impressive but if you wish to lock horns with a well matured drop like Merlot you need a little more than that.

You conveniently forgot that Murali was found guilty of dissent to that umpire whose name I can't remeber but he no longer umpires in the CMCA in the second semi but Collo's mate and the tribunal as ineffectual as usual got him off.

Pitt,W & B Bennett, Cheeks and probably most of the badly behaved team were or should have been reported on numerous occassions but the gold cap meant no sentence. You must remember that most of the umpires then and now were and are petrified to report as it would effect their points and their finals chances went backwards.

Who can forget the catch wrongly claimed against poor old Washington Park where again Brett's hard working executive did not even hear the case when Washington should have been awarded the game and the culprit sent to the Rocky Mountains.

Your foreign legion has come and gone just as the money has and one day you may have the guts to start your own website instead of getting on everyone else's and whingeing and bragging.

Do you wear your gold cap to bed like Uncle Mick?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Archie,

Thanks for the support I feel I know you but just can't put a face to it.Some of the others are pretty obvious but there is still a bit of mystic to the whole show.

I wonder if Barrack has got any of the White house aids tuned into the forum yet?Maybe Brett could filter some of the news back to him if he gets to the Conga line.

The trip was good but am off again soon to India where it will be as hot as it has been here lately. With a bit of luck I could pick up an IPL contract they giving them to everyone else.I hope the laptop picks up the signal as I wouldn't want to miss any of this vigorous debate while I am out of the country.

You haven't seen Budda have you?

Bit warm tonight so I will for go the drop of Merlot for a nice glass of soda and ice.Good luck to you and the young chappies for the weekend.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Very much enjoying the posts and look forward to hearing from Barack and Condelisa!!!

Cheers!

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Army,

I vaguely remember some of your good work on the old site Barrack shut down.

We have to have a good laugh at ourselves and others if appropriate and who knows I could get a comment out of the bagwan while in India before Barrack calls a Presidential press conference. But Brett did say to leave them alone!

I also did notice you have tarted up the old rooms when I was strolling through Fawkner Park on a romantic Valentines Day walk, with the girl friend.

From memory you were an honest trundler how's the stats this year?

Army,
I'm also enjoying the great Merlot's work, he seems a very enlightend and intelligent observer, i just hope that he stays off the curry and water over there in India, otherwise we'll be copping it from the front and the rear orifices at the same time.
There is somthing about a ''sour merlot ''::eek:

Merlot ''my man'' you are in devastating form, stay off the sodas and stick to the finer drop, a class act like yourself needs to indulge when they can.
I was also questioning myself, proding around my simple mind to see if there is a connection, maybe we did meet in another cricket world, although i doubt it was in the land of IPL.
Someone on the grapvine said they saw a couple of CMCA umpires in the solarium the other day, they were trying to colour match the sponsors BBQ plate which has grafted into their backs.
Get back to CMCA colours boys, the white shirts just doesn't make sense.
More colour the better.
Archie retiring now to have Horlicks.;)

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Merlot, you're writing way too many posts at a time. Give it a break, kid. Let's just keep it to one at a time, let people respond, and then go again.

Now let me clear up a few things for you. ANA's website is really not that crash hot. You're going to ask me where East Sandy's is or some crap but obviously we don't have one. If we were to get one done though we'd make it worth while and produce something other than the one-dimensional, junk that appear on ANA's site.

Secondly, Flahive never got paid. Very handy bowler but as he has stated many times on this forum, his reason to join the "gold caps" was to play with life long mates. We're the best and don't need to recruit to keep winning.

Thirdly, i hang my gold cap on the handle of my cupboard. For interests sake, it's on the handle on the right......the left handle is draped with several Longmuir premiership medallions.

And finally (for now), get over "Murali" and his chucking. We've all seen him bowl and nothing's going to change. Brighton Union's opening bowler 5-10 years ago chucked it and he never got called. Funny that, maybe it's got something to do with winning...... If LD is ever going to get no-balled, he would have got called on that memorable March day back in 2003 when is burst onto the scene and skittled Hampton Central. It's just not going to happen. Perhaps instead of sooking and whinging about us all the time, you concentrate on your own performance and you might get close to us..... might.

TTTTTHHHHHHHHSSSSSSSSSIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Merlot is enetitled to submit multiple posts as like most others, I'm finding them quite insightful and entertaining... unlike self absorbed comments from blokes who write with lisps.

Oh and in reference to our website... maybe you should consider Ferris Bueller's opinion of his mate Cameron's car.

"It's a piece of s***. But I don't have a piece oh s***, so I have to envy yours."

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Not bad by you, Sugar.

Merlot - indulge me. Where was this belief of my remuneration for last season born?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Merlot, you make me laugh too! A bit like when a car hits a lamp post! Hilarious! I hope the curries aren't too dodgy in India, but after reading a few of your posts regarding the "gold caps", I sincerely doubt whether you'll have any sh1t left should you partake in something on the dodge side!

I can tell you that UM was never paid, in fact, I think he still owes us a quid or two!;)

As for Murali, I have a copy of a letter received from the CMCA executive dated 1st February 2007 officially clearing his action following their investigation. Matter closed. Move on.

We don't have time to get a website up and running, we are too busy defending our players at the tribunal! Geez we're ordinary sports!

Cudos to you Sug for your club's website, provides a good talking point and a place to hang the proverbial on you blokes! The problem with our club is that the guys who know how to steer a computer (and there aint many) are either too busy, or aren't clever enough.

Thxth thsmasher, hows work!?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Archie,

Unfortunately not everyone is treating the forum as a bit of fun like you and me.Maybe Barrack has got the CIA on the job.I received a couple of irrate private messages but I will get over it.

I will never be a sour Merlot it is better to have fun.

Did the Horlicks put you to sleep?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Uncle Mick,

You are very eloquent I can see why you lasted only the year at the foreign legion.

While I might have implied that you got paid as most recruits have I just wondered whether you suffered the same fate as a couple LPP players did when the money dried up in the second season and as they had severed ties with the old club it was impossible to go back.

Keep the good work up but it appears we have a bit of competition as the forum posters have jumped out of trees but I am sure you are having a bit of fun and is good to be back home?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

TST6TS,

Officeworks can supply you with a new keyboard as it appears yours got stuck at the end of you post!

If you can't stand the heat of Merlot's kitchen get out, as I have attracted a huge following the right thing is to reply personally to all of them even though my posts tally unfortunately don't count them all individually.

The ANA has long been the voice of the CMCA and you and your mates have used it to your own advantage on numerous occassions. You will never have your own as you haven't got anyone capable of doing it>

Uncle Mick the clayton's lefty you lured while Cheeks had a sabbatical running around in Moorabbin's twos seems a decent bloke and if he owes you money I am sure he will settle it.

I find it a bit hypocritical that with the large foreign legion you assembled/lured to Duncan St including yourself that you would say you don't need to recruit.

Is sooking and whinging another word for stating the facts, which my dear old Dad always told me that if you tell the truth you won't get into trouble. You could learn from that.

I don't need to get close to you big headed opinionated arrogrant gold caps, I went past you years ago.

Also you have confirmed a well known fact that not many of the forein legion know how to find the start button on the computer there by making easy to work out those who can.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Budda,

You happy go lucky bloke I once knew I got your private message which you didn't need to send.

You are to be congratulated for starting this forum after Barrack closed down the other one for us all to have a bit of fun.

Not everyone knows who you are and there are many alias used to create a bit of mystic.Mine is just one of them, a woman on the tram told me the other day that she knows who this one is and who that one is.It's a bit like Trivial Pursiut trying to get the answer.

I admire your skill with the bat and hope it does the talking on Saturday all I was doing was trying to find out why the founder no longer contributed to the forum.

Don't worry I won't be calling into Mackie any time in the near future it's a bit far from New Delhi!

Just to show you the gentleman I am and not that other name you used good luck for Saturday

Merlot

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Sugar

The new voice of the CMCA website/website thanks for your support and the many years of guestbook and the other rumuor file like thing I can't remeber the name of.

Sadly Barrack's embargo brought an end to a lot of that but your guest book while a bit confusing at times is the voice of the little people.

I enjoy the youtube show unlike a few others and think it is quite a professional output.Has there been one lately?

Keep up the good work.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Now Fanta pants

It matches the colour of your hair watch the language or you could get a suspension like ham & cheese.

Seriously if you want to hang your hat on a letter from the CMCA executive is like getting a security clearance from Osama bin laden! Army still hasn't got his reply when your umpire didn't know the rules!

You again confirm a well known belief that not many of the Foreign legion know how to get on a computer and you must be close to the treasurey to know who and who doesn't get paid.
