Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade
Uncle Mick
Where do I start with some many new rookies jumping on the forum, the word has got out, but sadly not to the oval office.
What I was trying to say but didn't get my point across was that the 2 piece ball made it harder to bat, therefore those I mentioned were better in my humble opinion as it was more difficult to bat , rather than today the 4 piece is the batsman's ball. The better bats also make it easier again re inforcing my point that it is easier today.
You again make an excellent point that the foreign legion look after each other so they have strength in numbers and can hide the older players who play the odd cameo good innings.
Behind the secenes you have better sources than mine but I suspect you are one of the BBQ mob given the detail you have provided us with.I took a little trip to Google as i wasn't sure of what Barrack's invective actually meant and I quote
'abusive language ,discourse that cast blame on somebody or something '
A very good and accurate description of Barrack.
Also some BBQ's have selective hearing as they are too worried about their points that go towards finals positions.Even if they did report the ineffective tribunal went against their own rules and failed to rub them out.I find it ironic that the tough stance they adopted this year has iron gloves missing a Grand Final and the reigning Brownlow medalist to miss if his side had made it.I did hear there was to be an appeal on one or both cases.
Is the Brownlow medal being held this week and would there be any chance of getting the details on the website.
Jimmy surely you have some influence to get the person/s responsible to lift there game.Alternatively Adam could provide some advise as it is not that difficult to do!
Any word on the venue for the umpires big night yet?I did venture on to the in effective website to check the records of previous longy G/F umpires but sadly came up empty handed. The big tip at 6 burger bourbons to 4 is that there will be two brand new umpires making it to the big dance for the first time!
I must apologise as when i was surfing the web I came across the fact that Hilary has now replaced Condelezza and will from now on be Barrack & Hilary
to upset those who do not like the code names.
The Ormond spy you seem to have the same problem as the other gold cap with the stuck key board but I suppose that comes from being based down that way in footy season.
I see on the CMCA's number one website guest book that the Gold park canteen remained firmly shut for the lowly D Grade match. Was it beneath them to provide a service even though they had no teams playing on the day.Given that ANA and the Golf club have large supporter bases it would seem the gold caps have already reached this year's budget surplus and do not need to look after the cricketing public.
With the lake mob and sharks drawn there in the C grade final they better pack some of Ham & cheeses goodies and a few Burger bourbons or it could be a long thirsty hungry day!Surely Barrack could issue a royal decree to look after the cricketing plebs.
Now to the Grand Final we had to have East vs West and no it is not a re enactment of the Berlin Wall , but the Gold caps vs the Sky blue caps at the home of cricket.Obviously Collo's mate was out voted this year and the big dance will be on the big ground.
Should be a good game with the cocky gold caps up against the lazarus mob who scrapped into the four at the last breath. Will have to wait to see who Adam put's the kiss of death on.The injured gold caps are well rested but the sky blues are not short on finals experience and are playing their best cricket at the business end of the year.
Until next time Merlot
