Plenty v Lalor turned out to be a great game,
ended up in a draw.
I play for plenty
I must admit, I did make me laugh when i was playing on that other Smith ground and I saw that fat bowler for Lalor getting lippy every over or two.

nah you are just as big of a tool as him, the only difference is he might have been able to play once opon a time.

My runs are on the board Della, come back and see me in 10 years time, I'll let you include the runs you made during your stint at Riverside.;)

Re: DVCA Barclay Reserve

Looks like Diamond Creek will be the hot tip to again win the flag, with the quality of these names in the side after christmas, i doubt any side will beat them (all have played plentiful amounts of A grade cricket in the recent past -
i cant see any side scoring runs against this bowling attack

G.Milner
J.Williams
M.Rogneda
R.Tolley
S.Patrick
T.Sheedy
C.Campbell

please della, you've played 4 games in B grade for your entire career (including the years you spent at Riverside) and thats because Plenty is struggling a bit at present. Do you still wake up in the bottom bunk in the middle of the night crying over the first ball you let go which cleaned you up in the semi a few years back? You certainly handled the pressure well that day.

I'll take your "competitive C grade player" comment as a compliment, because you haven't even gained that status yet. As I said come and see me in 10 years...

Re: DVCA Barclay Reserve

is this della the spin bowler batting 10 or 11 in b grade, or the one that came up from c grade to play against us and was dismissed cheaply ?

Re: DVCA Barclay Reserve

Della, youre a f*cking good bloke, and dont worry bout what everyone says about your cricket.

We just enjoy it at the creek, and i know u enjoy yours as well.

;)

The one that has come up from C grade. Dismissed cheaply sounds familar, must be the same bloke. I'm sure Plenty wll get a few back after Christmas and he'll be back in the thirds.

Re: DVCA Barclay Reserve

best sledger there's ever been in the game of DVCA cricket would have to be Craig Vaughan. retired at the moment but he'll make a comeback and first game back he plays against riverside he'll sledge the shite out of all of them. c'mon vaughan'y make a come back. PLAYS FOR THE MIGHTY BUNDY BULLS

Well thank you for those very kind words. May only worry is that Riverside will be in Money Shield bythe time a make a come back, although that would provide some great sleadging material.

Welcome aboard Beamer, always good to have another Bull on BigCricket.

Money Shield only affects the top two grades so that shouldn't be a worry to you...plenty of Riverside teams in those lower grades waiting for you to come back. Its not the same without your usual verbal barrage from silly mid on.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't Mernda opting out of Barclay one year the only reason Bundoora stayed up?

Correct, Mernda did opt out.

Just as a point of correction though, I've actually played against Riverside Barclay Reserve for the past two seasons...

Dont take the money shield jibe to seriously, I actually rate riverside as a club.

haha nah wasn't taking it serious mate; just wanted to stir the pot a bit back...we were happy you stayed up actually because it just would not be the same without a Riverside and Bundoora fixture and hopefully that will continue for many years to come. Bounced back well from that season too so full credit to you boys.
I stand corrected on you playing B grade but I could have sworn you played our C grade as well...do you just love playing us that much you dropped yourself down for that game?

Love playing Riverside, but not enough to drop myself down, my form / ability always takes care of that. Started of in B grade last few seasons when numbers are a bit low, then end up in C grade. The positive is I get to play Riverside twice a season.

Cheers
