Arnberger would want to get a few! Blokes have been telling us he is going to ton up every game thus far. Lose some weight fatso and then you might get some

Here, here.

Every week we get someone new jumping on his bandwagon!

Now, it can't be easy making the transition from turf to synthetic pitches, but the bloke faced the best bowlers Australia had to offer for 10 years and is top 10 on the all time run scorers lists for the Vics. Surely he's taking the piss - a bloke with as much talent as he had, or is still supposed to have, needs to give his team more than he currently is.

Having said all of this, it's very easy to sit back and pot a bloke who's obviously under some sort of cloud - so I hope he makes some runs soon, even if it's only so the blokes on his bandwagon can come out and say "I told you so!"

1st time poster, life long reader and 1 eyed bundoora player. Great effort on the weekend boys lets hope the past 2 weeks are the start of something really special for our group. Brad Dean is the best captain we have had at this club in some time and his honest approach leaves no one wondering where they are at. Great job Brad.

Our depth looks as good as ever with Carland and Gibson missing this week and a couple guys not in the best of form thus far this season things would appear fairly rosy at this stage.

Without getting too far ahead of myself i think we have the ingredients to beat any team on our day...i repeat ON OUR DAY... fingers crossed we have a few more OUR DAYS this season and go 1 better than last season.

Till later - keep charging BULLS!!!

Plenty of Bull's out and about, there's been a great feeling around the place for a few seasons now, lots of good kids coming through and a few old blokes that found the passion again. I'm with Bundy Bull, not getting ahead of myself, just pleased to see us heading in the right direction.

Seriously boys, do you bundoora boys want to get a room or something? There is alot of man-love going on in here!

It's funny, we Don't hear boo, and then you have a win and you all come out of the wood works, like a collingwood supporter on dole day!

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

well done to the bundoora boys on a great run chase and overall a good game unfortunately our blokes have to regroup against lower plenty so can we stop bagging arnberger because for every game he does not make runs means he is 1 game closer to making a big ton:D:D

Can wear the "wood work' jibe, even been on the dole once, but you best back up with the collingwood slur. Besides I'm still pissed from the GF, 'THATS WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT!"

Not a bad stab at the end result of the Eltham Research. Was spot on! Very disappointing to see Eltham 1/160 and crumble!

Vilos/430king you disgust me! Having two alias (possibly more) Why don't you come out and admit that you are also JBs Shadow!

No need to come clean Quinny. I've got no idea who Vilos is. The only thing that needs to come clean is that you are JB'S Shadow. Everyone from the Valley to the mean streets of South Central to Tashkent knows that you are JB'S Shadow. Now save yourself the embarrassment and admit it.

As for Cow Corner, big whisper from the weekend, aprt from Maldivian winning the Plate is that a certain older fella down at your club, put you under the table and you needed some fresh air at around 10pm on Saturday night. The princess tag is true.

In all seriousness, great win by bundoora on the weekend. To get 45 for the last wicket and get home in the last over, really sets them up for the year.

I think this is one of the smartest comments you have made on the site.

But just what type of man Love will be going on at Eltham if they get up for a win this game.

Stop being a clown Quinny everyone on this site knows your the only one that has so much time to waste that you create another user name and still try to deny it when called out on it. Is it just me or are we seeing a lot more of Tongs and JBS shadow has gone unusually Quiet!!

we have a few boys over excited after a good win, break into a primary school, knock off a computer & log on for a day and talk crap, good luck to them.

as for the 3 or 4 usernames you've got on here, is that to compensate for the 5 hours of dribble your unable to dish out on a saturday now you are retired??

i'm sure he'll get a big score soon, don't think it will be this week though. Keaysy tends to lift a cog or 2 to take the big sclaps, apparently got skips with a jaffa 2 weeks ago, bowled me a couple of rippers:D:D & i'm tipping he gets Arnberger early on the weekend.
As for Lower Plenty, and this is not a pot shot, but don't forget gunny made 500 plus runs @ 90 odd last year and on paper it looks as though Arnberger is the only batting recruit so he has to have a huge year just to keep par with where they were at last season. Afterall, like all of us, he only needs to play one false stroke or pad up with Dick at the other end and his day's all over.

Huge pressure, but as his stats suggest, is the best credentialled bat to play in our comp so will be very interesting to watch it all unfold.

Very good point, he is only human and without a good fitness base, may just be struggling a little. Having said that, I would be surprised if he didn't smash a ton in the near future, when do Lower Plenty play Eltham?

As for my tips this week:

Eltham v Lower Eltham

Usually close games between these 2, and Eltham smashed Lower last season. Having said that, Elthams bowling depth is non-existent and lower's batting exceptionally strong. Skips could well get more runs but Lower could post a monster against the pop gun Panther attack. Lower in a canter with Poyser, Gunn and Burgoyne to get some serious runs. Lower will only get stronger once a few (softc*&ks) return from injury....

Research v MacLeod

Interesting game, if Leary from MacLeod gets it right he will take a bag, bowls some serious heat early on. Research rely on too few, but those few are quality. Basically Turner & Malone v Waddingham and Wise. MacLeod in a tightish one.

Lower Plenty v Lalor Stars

Lower Plenty are more than due and will be stung after last week. Arnberger and Zerafa to demolish the Stars attack, but its trouble town if those 2 miss out. Barnett will have to bowl well for LP to get over the line. Having said that, if Lalor's top order sloggers get going they could also post a big total. LP to win comfortably.

Plenty v Riverside

Plenty are starting to worry a few teams, they have a good blend of youth and old fellas, and with Lovey back and in touch should get the chocolates. Still waiting for Rosbrook to take a big bag, and will put it on the line by saying I reckon he will get Salpig and Gibbs for single digits this game. Curtin's hair is not the only thing on fire, his form is also starting to heat up so watch for him to get some big runs and push for that Rising Star award.

Diamond Creek v Epping

Huge game for both, neither can afford to be 2/2. Diamo were obviously poor last week but Epping only had 2 bats get runs and rely heavily on the Hursts as always. Creek's young fellas need to step up, and with B.Glynn firing it will be a great game. Epping's batting is still a worry and Creek to win this in a tight one.

Bundoora v Mernda

Bundoora sort of back on track, great chase last week, and if the Bulls can score 200+ again they will win this easily. I think its about now that Mernda will start dropping off. With the 2 fossils bowling well they could do some samage but Bundoora for mine. Bundoora remind me of this spring carnival, all the Internationals are doing the damage.

* To qualify for the DVCA Rising Star you have to be Under 23, so here are the odds currently:

Quinlan $1.60
Curtain $2.00
Barnett $4.00
Davidson $21.00

So I don't have to put 8 different posts, here are my replies to the past few comments:

Bundoora: I'm actually offended that you say that I talk shit for 5 hours on a Saturday. It lasts a lot longer than that! And you say that there are a few "over excited" boys? It sounds as though there is a mass orgy going on over there. Wouldn't mind playing you blokes this week, you will all be too tired after a week of arse munching!

Vilos/430king: You say you are not the same, but have a look back through the records, you seem to post one after the other quite often!

Vilos: Has to be a Burgoyne! Can't spell, I'm actually surprised he can turn on a computer!

Kingofthehill: Firstly if you put money on me, you will lose it. I'm 25. Secondly why are you such an bitter person? Mummy didn't hug you as a child? Daddy locked you in a dungeon and had special times? So fat you haven't seen the end of your knob in years? All of the above?

CowCorner: If you are not POP you must be whitey or someone of his elk?

sorry superstar, i didn't include the 6 or 7 minutes you may have the bat in your hand. Don't worry about our club, maybe you should be concentrating on helping your own instead of quitting when the going gets a bit tough. weak as pi$$, then again, your writing on this forum is the same as your time on the cricket field, heaps of useless rambling with fukc all being acheived.

Spot on Bundoora, jumping ship when it all gets a bit too difficult, that is very soft JB's Shadow, as for Vilos and 4:30king, maybe they just have their computers next to each other, maybe they live together, maybe they work together????

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

Word around town that Jason Arnberger will not be the most experienced cricketer going around in the DVCA this season. Former Sri Lankan Test and One-Dayer cricketer Roshan Mahanama has moved with his family to the Northern suburbs of Melbourne and is keen to pull on the whites this summer for a hit. The fourty-two year old with a test double hundred next to his name and over 5000 ODI runs will be hot property. Epping, the front runners from Bundoora and South Morang the other possible early candidates. Yet to commit to any club.

Ouch, sounds like someone has gotten under your skin in the past. PS, does the 6 or 7 minutes included the drinks break?

I never quit when the going got tough, told them 3 months ago I wouldn't be playing. Well before pre season started. My back is rooted, and I have played a game or two to help them out when I can. So haven't jumped ship just yet!

Never said I was a superstar, but I had a crack.
