yeh and another good pick, this avramov kid, hes not great, it just shows how poor the under 16 eltham team is if this bloke is there star, tom and mitch destroy this kid

ease up mate, avramov is just working into his game, he just moved down from N.S.W and is still trying to adjust his game for Victorian pitches and grounds. i understand that he has undergone training with a very respected coach in the north east region (cant give the name im afraid).
He is expected to make a large score against LP this week, so watch for his name (aswell as in the wickets column)

Another underated player is Dylan Forster, not many people have heard of him but he seems to give most bowlers head aches, he should go far with his cricket.

So Monty 4 Premiers 08/09, why do you like this dylan kid so much? i heard that he has been struggling for runs in the U16's leaving it up to other players... and batting 8 or 9 in the seniors?
seems like he is very over-rated

Gee, Negative comments on a juniors thread, very encouraging, glad to see your doing you bit for helping juniors develop mate

On a more serious note, just remember that your talking about kids, and harsh criticism isnt something you should give to a kid, especially when he isn't talking himself up on this forum!

Guys, can we hold off a little bit in here.

Opinions are fine but try to make them constructive, especially when it comes to the younger players. Point out their weaknesses by all means (if you really have to) but how about balancing that out with a few thoughts on how they can improve?

on saturday night, he smashed up some 18 year old at this party.
We can be cocky at monty cos we are the best team, forget plenty and Mitch Johnson, its about Monty this year

Plenty were the only team last year to beat an inform top age research side and when it counted to in the grand final. mitch johnson iant the only player that team has as well. with ben abbatangelo back and dayne smith and danny cocking who gud lines and pick up wicket almost every game. going to be very hard to beat.

haha indeed they form a somewhat nucleus of a side but everyone is going to contribute.
all the players are good cricketers and good blokes thats why they are chosen to represent the north east.
if they all play to potential, its a handy side.

the only reason half of the falcons side is there is because of who they are and who they're dads are. that will also be the downfall this year for the cowboys with players such as einsiedel and barring, two players who are very over rated.

You have got to be kidding me pal? Biggest load of garbage I have ever heard, adapting from synthetic wickets in NSW to synthetic wickets in VIC and grounds? You are kidding me. Maybe if he was playing state cricket and having to adapt from state to state with varying pitches (turf) in regards to Victoria being a little slower and WA wickets being faster (for example). That is a pox excuse for the kid not making, or taking, any.

yes that seems like a good tip, but from what i have seen, expect big tournaments from, reid, abbatangelo, gilmore, ryder and johnson, keys to there campiagn i believe

Boys boys boys. For a start, gilmore will be player of the tournament for the falcons. Having played with him last year he is a very good player and did well last year for us. Abba is also a good player, solid but will have a dip and play his shots(also brilliant in the field).
As for reid, will not take wickets. fast bowlers tend to struggle and plus he has nothing threatening from what ive seen and faced from him, he is rubbish and should not be in the side.
Trent williams not making it is a massive joke, mark phelan shouldnt have been picked in front of him because hes younger.

Yeah agree with you there RTD 13..Gilmore is a gun will be right up there same with abba. 100 percent agree with reid, bowls a heap of balls down the leg, doesnt do much with it..shouldnt be in it! ...Daniel Cocking should be, still can't work out how he didnt make the first cut!
Still can't believe Trent Williams didn't make, Mark Phelan is good but his got next year to play, shouldn't of been picked this year, still a good player though.
Dont agree with Ryder being picked either..all his Old Man's work no doubt.
His a good player, but not upto Dowling standard as far as im concerned. Other players such as Williams and Larcom-Cooper that are better than him.

HAHA rusty81 you have no idea do you mate, the kid isn't good at all.
Bats at 10 or 11, bowls about second last for ELTHAM who hasn't one a game.
Fills in the numbers as far as im concerned, as for him playing District Cricket hahahaha, funny man you are. The kid will be lucky to get a game higher the G Grade.
