Garry Male is always good value And Terry O'Donnel is always keen to trigger a batsmen first ball of the game. Always an enjoyable experience for speedsters like O'neil and Howell.

James Binney would have to be up there for ben cousins of the ECA.
Had Garry Male 3 times I think last season and all 3 of those times he was with Lou Morsh... he likes to chat and tries be mates with everyone. Just umpire is my advice to the umpiring division!

What about the synthetic comps? Can anyone stop Deepdene Uniting going back to back in Macgibbon?

Keith Wilkins loved a run out or stumping...

Very droll. *Golf clap*

Perhaps yours was one of the clubs knocked off by a synthetic team in the T20 comp?

Ok Dean, who do you think are the challengers for MacGibbon this season?

results cannot be revealed as then my identity would be revealed which would make this thread boring and irrelevant

Well, Deepdene Utg have been in the last 5 GFs, so they should be thereabouts again. Trinity are always up there, STC should be back. Think Wyclif may slide.

Reckon the Barnies will struggle to stay up.

I refuse to play games on synthetic. I'm sure alot of other pace bowlers would agree with me that its dangerous. So Dean3, maybe you should open your own thread and see if you can get 4000 views in 3 days. Goodluck champ!

Re: Eastern Cricket Association 2010/11

gday fellas, im new on here.

Would have to say our ground is right up there (Heathmont)

Apart from being far away from you boys in the inner suburbs, we have a great deck, great outfield, great ground, lovely rooms and a brilliant spread!

I think we will really challenge A turf this year.

By reading this thread Burwood are overrated. They had a good pom last year and a bloke made a ton which was the difference. Is the pom coming back?

Good luck fellas and hope to have some interesting banter with you guys.

As for North Balwyn in Dunstan, well good bunch of blokes when we played them in A but unless they have recruited well they wont challenge the top four this year

Bakes is back and looking to get back to his North Balwyn form. Watch out A turf.

In terms of grounds, aslong as the pitch has consitant bounce and the ball runs over the outfield I'm pretty happy.

Mazenod's ground is terrible. The groundsman hasn't heard about a mower. Barnies and Richmond Union should become synthetic clubs.

I'm actually quite upset with the new rooms at Ashy.....that away changing room used to be a right of passage for an away player in ECA!

With regards to Burwood, I think they should bat well, as they did last year. However, far too often they were left chasing 300. I have heard theymay try and use Baker's slow left arm instead of him keeping.

dumped by one of ur own?? that sucks....i think we are looking good. i think we should challenge for the 4 if we win the close ones. got some good youngsters coming thru.

Mazenod and Marcellin should be pretty good I think.

Love to get back to Dunstan and have 2 umps and be able to mix with you boys in the forums!

yeah we had a high scoring game with you boys. your batting was much better than your bowling. have you recruited any bowlers or just relying on the keeper to roll the arm over!
