yer it has been quiet all last week, disappointing really, i do rely on this forum a bit to get me through the week. from the results on mycricket, here are my tips for the 2nd day coming up this week

skevs vs glen iris - any info there anyone?
mont albert vs nth balwyn - MA should do the job, bowl them out, get the 6 points, then just bat for the rest of the day
deepdene vs hawthorn - hawthorn look to have deepdenes measure this game, big upset i would have thought!
bulleen vs RC - bulleen in strife here, this could get RC out of the relegation battle, and give teams a chance to catch up with bulleen
mulgrave vs cant - mulgrave should take 10 points here, canterbury are having a shocker this year
edcc vs ashy - ashy should be able to defend a big score with their bowling attack

Hello everybody. Just joined the forum. Interesting round of Dunstan shield games. A lot of low scores on a pretty decent Saturday afternoon with a decent preceding week to prepare the wickets. Any opinions of reasons?
 
It will be very tight. Bottom teams seem to be coming good whilst top teams are dropping off. 12 points dished out at end of next weekend should give the ladder some shape.
 
Sundays tips:
Ashburton v North Balwyn
Have to go with Ashy, especially at home. Nth Balwyn are showing some signs though with James Binney and their pom Keogh putting together some decent performances.
Canterbury v St Kevs
St Kevs to take their Twenty20 short game form into this one dayer. Canterbury struggling at the moment.
Deepdene v Rich City
Will stick with Deepdene (just) but don't seem to be playing well at the moment whilst RC may be on the rise if they can knock off Bulleen. Could be upset of the round.
Mulgrave v Bulleen
Match of the round. Going to go with Mulgrave at home against the big name mercenaries at Bulleen who play when they feel like it.
Hawthorn v Mont Albert
Should be another cracker. Hawthorn is the leagues most up and down team with great wins over Ashy and Deepdene (after Sat barring massive collapse) but poor losses agains nth Balwyn and East Donny. Mont Albert more suited to 2 day cricket.
East Donny v Glen Iris
Hard to pick against Glen Iris' 1 day form.

agree with all, and it will most likely come down to who has the most players at home in bed, not pissed by midnight?
