what a shame he's left them. city in trouble this year lindsay would have to make 1/2 the team runs every week just to compete with the rest of the comp.
kent agg and jarvis opening the batting pretty potent pair, premiers 4sure:rolleyes:

very similar to murray having to make all the runs and get all the wickets for st albans cos the rest are crap

dont put any pressure on the young kid Criukshank, I still think he has a bit to get used to playing 1st XI cricket. And I don't think Brett Anderton is overrated, it would be interesting what facts actually lead you to that assumption ? I believe he actually won a number of games for South Barwon over the last few years and even a few of his bat.

Ando probably should have won the GF for Sth Barwon of his own bat if it wasn't for a shit LBW decision. The echo of his nick is still flying around Winters Reserve.

what happened in the last game against torquay????

seems we might have to South guys here in a slanging match. I think the Torquay game was when South crumbled to loose on the first innings only for a fired up Anderton to run through the Torquay second innings and allow the Swans to back door them on the outright. I think without this win the Swans would of had a first final against Grovedale. Anyway there is a lot of chances to change a cricket match that unless it was the last ball of the innings and something happens it is hard to say anything lost you a game. From watching that game it may have been the early wickets on the 1st night and 2nd day that caused more issues. Don't think chasing down 1000 and not chasing down 120 is a reason why they lost.

doesnt anderton hold a gca record against city??? with the bat, shows what sharkbite knows.

Big Ando plays with more heart than all of the city blokes put together. He also is a 100 times better bloke than sharkbite.

Sharkbite you are welcome to come down and take St Albans training later in the year. Not because your any good, just because i would get a laugh from watching you get knocked out.

keep crawling supersaint...we all know "Big Ando" will eventually end up at St Albans because that is where all GCA club rejects end up playing.

It would be great for conversation down there "so which GCA club do you come from"?

The majority of rejects down at your club have baggage from their GCA days- what a club!!!

Im not crawling at all. Im actually very good mates with Ando and have been for a long time. He is a player with huge ability and a top bloke to have a beer with. I hope they win the flag this year because it would be well deserved after last years terrible umpiring decision.
As for only gca rejects playing with us, would you call Jason Murray and Chris Jones gca rejects? dont think so. Also i have been playing at St Albans since i was ten and i am now 22. Have had the opportunity to play in the gca but i would never leave such a great club with so many great blokes.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

quickest under 21? Jason Grozanovski however you spell it. (mergie)
gun batsman under 21? Rhys Burke (west) Becker nyguen (East)
best wicketkeeper? Matthew Ride (bph)
best fieldsman?? Sam Hughes (pold) Farnswoth (Newcomb)

any thoughts?

The two people u mention are classic examples of GCA rejects ie. meatheads that no decent club who wants stability would want....and you have plenty more at your cess pit club too. Please stop wasting everyones time on here defending St Albans and please remember that to play a decent level of GCA cricket a club needs more than a half successful 1st side and some mud in the middle of the ground.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

bangladesh_8 how can u say chris cruckshank is underated? the guy has played most of his cricket in the 2nds n has played 3-4 games in the ones and he still showed nothing. brett anderton is a good bowler and isnt overated. brad hauenstein is easily the best getting around.

you are a dickhead, shows how much you know about local cricket "jones and murray rejects"

you find me a club that wouldn't want either of them in there side in geelong?
jones won a div1 league bowling ave 2 years ago and murray has been a good player for years, don't run your mouth about shit its painful to listen 2.

Just for the record, Rhys Burke is actually from St Peters. He was playing turf when just 13 and batting at no.3 in the 1sts at 15. He went to West when St Peters had a year when they didn't field an u/17 side and even then it was for only half a season as he was down at Geelong at the same time. Goes alright at footy also. Second year u/18 but played the whole season for GWSP seniors.

Should Nyugen be at Geelong?

As well as the echo of the rest of his team mates frustration, that he did not manage to get a finger on a ball hit straight to him at deep mid on, which would have dismissed Grovey for under 100.

For f*ck sake; here we go again. Can someone please advise how to set up a LEGITIMATE Geelong cricket thread so we can all transfer across and leave this stupid and childlike St Albans V City slanging match here on this one for the three or four blokes who actually care to keep throwing mud at each other. Christ sake you blokes; we've all had enough!!!
