Re: Geelong Cricket Chat

has anyone noticed no west blue boys have been in lately?
they win one game, get cocky saying they'll easily win they flag, and since that haven't even come close to winning a game?
no offence crktluva, but they couldn't even beat wallington, who haven't won a game in 2 seasons!
really pays to keep your mouth shut

hmmmmm
marshall and north shore combined..... 60 overs 160 runs and 25 wickets... averagin 2.5 runs and over
north geelong last saturday... 75 overs 215 and 6 wickets... averagin 2.8 an over...

how were we batting at snails pace.. if were averagin more than u schmo's an over.. and less wickets fell on the day...

mate marshall v north shore was embarassing to watch.. ok bad umpire decisons and all but still... its called playing across the line.. and thats what both sides did.. all day..

thats where ya argument went wrong, yes the north geelong game may have been better quality cricket, but definitely more action in the marshall v north shore, would rather watch the same slow rate of runs as yours but at least plenty of wickets and an interesting result, north geelong match would have been boooorrriing!!!

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat

here's an idea..
we should have a bigcricket.com clash!
i'm sure we could arrange 24 blokes, pick two captains, select 2 sides with a 12th man each and have a game!
i'm sure we could find a ground somewhere during the christmas break or something that'd let us use it for one saturday of very drunk, abusive cricket ;)
maybe gca_ipl and thommy_rissole could be the captains?
or maybe our mods, Dinosaur_Maroon&Blue and a for effort :D:p

I heard the council stuffed up the laying of the grass at Grinter reserve and may have to start again, this would keep the dinos off for a while.

Yes Mr Warne that would be correct Grinter out til end of January. Inner 20 yards round the centre square getting laid with roll out turf. then from 20 metres from that to the fence the normal process of seeding the ground. Pretty happy about playing Sunday cricket til after xmas.

haha yerr mate ur prolly right about the entertainment value.. but id rather see alf make a convincing 69 not out (which would of been 100 if he hadnt of pulled up stumps early).. then see marshall lose 15 wickets for the day.. and north shore get bowled out for 60

Things which are better viewing than watching North Shore vs Marshall:

  • Grass Grow
  • Karingal Kats vs Shannon Park Cougars
  • Paint Dry
  • Equestrian

Chris Strods and Dean Riches made plans to tie the knot

so heres wat im thinking. after the 21s game, strodsys missus dumped him cos he parked her car where it got hit twice and then he came home with deano cos he was drunk off 2 and then theyve gone from there....
any other explanations???

sar-casm 1: A sharp and often satirical or ironic utterence designed to cut or give pain.

2a: A mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usally directed against an individual.
2b: The use or language of sarcasm.

Wouldn't expect you to know messenger he's just a mate of mine who's struggling for runs at the moment, was just teasing him which obviously went straight over the cross bar with you 2 air heads
