Long in the tooth as niothing to do with it. I think that T20 is popular now because it is new and has a lot of novelty value. However, it really doesn't promote any skills of the game; certainly doesn't promote maximum participation and is nothing more than a game basically invented for TV. I mean, seriously a bowler bowling four overs when he is on a hiding to nothing and a batsman winding up for cross-bat slogs every ball he faces, please. How can you teach the real skills of the game when the kids are being exposed to this more and more. I mean good on the world cricketing powers for tryiong to appeal to a different audience but as far as i'm concerned, whether canned in this forum or not'; this ain't the answer.

i doubt that this is being used in any way to teach kids to play cricket..its just some fun where you can see a bit of big hitting and constant excitement coz theres always something happening..i can see what youre saying, that this shouldnt take over what we have, but i doubt that it will..the 2 day and 1 day games are here to stay i think

If you want to discuss 20/20 cricket, one day v two day, umpires or anything serious there are forums set aside for that so before you come on here slagging me off buddy look where you are.
