I think it is more like they finally gave him a go. Played against him in Warrnambool and he was a very talented young player on the way up. He will definately be a player to watch out for in the future if he sticks around Geelong. It has been a bit tough for him to get a decent bowl when you have got Talarico bowling basically unchanged from one end. He must of been injured in this game for him to only bowl 10 overs.

yer we're good mates with him.. he works at the petrel hotel... he did his knee last year playing footy so he was restricted with his bowling for the first half of the year.. he was given the chance to open against city chasing a low score and made 50 but other than that failed pretty much... good to see him make a few today..

and as for sticking around in geelong.... us young blokes are putting in a clearence for him to come to north next year... we think with our cricket trip heading to sydney and west's heading to port fairy.. we may sway him across.... seeing as tho hes from warny..for him goin to port fairy would be like us going to werribee

You giving their opponents no chance then. Teesdale won the club championship, lost one game for the year, have 3 quicks who Sth. Barwon and BPH have been chasing(to mention a few Div 1 sides). Players like Paul Baker, Jamie Humm and Spider Brady who have played years of GCA turf. Shaun Haberfield who has played turf cricket in Warrnambool for 10 years. But hey, they're "country folk" who you don't know anything about, so they can't win it. If the old win the club championship and you go up rule was still around, they would be in Div 2 infront of St. Albans. On another point, I suppose you can take solace in the fact that Fergie is now a Magpie.

Back on the Teesdale bowlers, I didn't mean Sth. Barwon were chasing all three. I just meant that there are clubs ringing them every preason. As for my controversial 1st post, was always told as a kid to get on the front foot early!

As for Guild being favorites, I don't think the fact that they made the divi 2 final last year has anything to do with it. If you're working on that logic, they should have finished on top, undefeated, not 3rd where they ended up.

ya must know by now i dont rate tala that highly as a bowler, i think people respect his bowling coz he is a gun bat, but he aint a good bowler in my book. the fact that he bowls so often instead of giving guys a go is enough to shit me. does anybody else think he is very over rated and over bowled, there bloody must be, coz he aint that good.

exactly, i like fergie as a bloke. but he is only with you guys until a better deal comes along, signings mean sweet f.a. in GCA unless they are the only player signed and under the allowance. GCA will throw it out straight away.
