Hey "Four More", whats happened to your mate Babo, heard he was dropped to the two's this weekend. Hope he can get some runs at that level.

I spoke to Phil Eilers after play yesterday, and he said they dropped both Babo and Harcourt, and Harding was unavailable.

They are a very young side, but they batted yesterday like they had 5 days to bat. They didnt throw their wickets away, but they let us take control of the game to the point where they had to throw the bat a bit after 5pm, and it didnt work to well.

what happened to my mate babo u say? well i thinkk u might find that he made 100 out of 138 in the under 21s yesterday! i predicted that a ton was coming well done babo

can someone please tell me how the comp can take west coburgs points off them then allowing k adams to play under twentyones for the comp is that having your cake and eating it i say yes

How the league can let Adams play for the MMVCA U21's the day after he didnt play for West Coburg and think that taking points away is appropriate just doesnt make sense!!
How can a cricket club be responsible for something they have no control over and had no idea occurred?

Ok, now that we have worked out your a West Coburg player/supporter. You can't possibly expect us to believe that your club did not know that Kyle Adams had played elsewhere in Round 1. I personally knew he had played elsewhere, so did a members of two other clubs that I had spoken too. One particular club knew that he shouldn't have been playing but decided not to say anything until after the match, knowing that they would be getting the points, win or lose.

It will be interesting whether he plays in the One's again this season. I'd personally be very pissed off if I was a memebr of West Coburg's A Turf team.

Time to get the head out of the sand.

If thats the case, I take my hat off to him. It must have been one hell of a knock. Well Done. I take it posting only 138, that they got done. This result wasn't in todays paper.

I didn'y say they couldn't play Bozo.

As an ex player at the Socials, yes we were a bunch of drunks but in the years i played there we were 1 of the best teams in the comp for a heap of years and also the amount of quality teams that we played against makes it even better. Who did you play for knob.

I agree with you knobjockey, I played at the Socials for 25 years, you will know who I am, lol. Yes we did like to partake in a lot of light refreshments, we played hard and partied harder. A lot of clubs were very jealous and envious of our success over the years. Also a lot clubs tried hard to copy certain things we done which made us into a successful club. Just joined the forum, might catch up with a few ex team mates and former foes, of those still alive that is, lol

My mail is that West Cob have had him cleared by the mob he played for in Round 1, so he is right to go.

how else is the comp gonna punish them?? surely someone knew he played else where in round 1.

new to the thread. guys who play for my club will know who I am and I would appreciate it if they kept it to themselves. K.Adams did the wrong thing and the club or someone at the club would have known about it there is no way they wouldnt have. You have to feel sorry for the kid a bit though given the fact that I am pretty sure he has played at the club his whole career and is a very good cricketer who I'm sure in no way would have deliberately gone out to cost his club those points. Of course the comp would select him for there team as he is a proven A grade player at a strong club and his past indescressions have nothing to do with that. It would be more hurtful to the kid if they didnt pick him. I know I would personally be shattered if i cost my club 24 points. And no I dont know kyle or play for West Coburg but the comp had no other choice and did the right thing in this case
