Dealing with the NWCA over the years, and going on people who have played in that comp. I'm not talking about the "players" it's the people who run it that will screw us over! They will finally get their hands on something they have wanted for years, and when they do, WATCH OUT!!!!

Only reports i get is that the people that run the comp are all about taking money and fining clubs.

you seem to know a lot about them Hirdy. you describe them like a bunch of hungry monsters! surely their not that bad.

Forget about what people are saying from the NWCA about it all happening next season, the merger has a long way to go before even the clubs vote on it. The By-Laws will be a major sticking point. A lot of the MMVCA's clubs were all for it originally, but some are now having second thoughts.

Bomber do you have some inside goss on the decision about the merger??

Like i said alcoa I've had dealing with them before, so from my experience, i would say more a dictatorship type deal , do as THEY say or your club won't survive.

Oh i see, but i reckon the MMVCA committee get ahead of themselves a bit too with their penalties etc. sometimes i wonder whats going on with their decisions.

No I don't have any inside info from the associations. Buts lets just take a deep breath here. This merger has been on the cards for a number of years and has never got off the ground because both execs could not not agree on certain things. This seems to have at least been sorted out a little and gone to the next stage. We can talk all we like about the merger but until we see By-Laws in writing and something more concrete to vote on, then this is a long way off.

I think supporters and players of clubs think its so straight forward. When it comes down to a vote and your club and competition's future is on the line, watch out for a few clubs to do a back flip.

Remember our first vote was only on some guidelines in a discussion paper. These can always change without consent. By-Laws are the Key.

In response to Road Dog, and why is that? You say you don't play the game, so how would you know about the Socials, the history of club and the players etc. You must listen to all the crap that's said around the traps, especially from sooky opposition clubs over the years.

KOS i played at socials in the past so i do have inside knowledge

Interesting, if you did, it would be not too hard to work out who I am. I retired from the cricket scene a few years ago I also see we have the same postcodes. Initials would be suffice.
