Worked out who you are, lol. Glad to see you back at the club, I keep an eye on the scores and get feedback what's going on. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since last time I seen you. Hope life is well with you and you keep the form up, good luck for the rest of the season.

No I don't have any inside info from the associations. Buts lets just take a deep breath here. This merger has been on the cards for a number of years and has never got off the ground because both execs could not not agree on certain things. This seems to have at least been sorted out a little and gone to the next stage. We can talk all we like about the merger but until we see By-Laws in writing and something more concrete to vote on, then this is a long way off.

I think supporters and players of clubs think its so straight forward. When it comes down to a vote and your club and competition's future is on the line, watch out for a few clubs to do a back flip.

Remember our first vote was only on some guidelines in a discussion paper. These can always change without consent. By-Laws are the Key.

Well Bomber i'll hold my breath and see what unfolds. But from your feedback you might be on the right track and take home the chocolates!

Sitting at work at the moment, listening to the rain pouring down and knowing that covers were not to go down. Well done again Pallini.

Can anyone explain why the covers didnt go down on Friday night??????

I reckon we should use the VTCA rules.....covers go down every week not matter what the weather.

now turf will be one match short...........too bad mmvca you missed points against Haig!

the comp needs to get some new blood! Maybe the merger is the go Bomber!???

Re: mmvca

They might reschedule the round somewhere on a Sunday I would think....it's not too bad as its only one day to re-organise.

And your little birdie would be correct. Although we dont have a say on whether covers go down. If we did then I can assure you covers would have gone down on Friday night.
Just responsible for checking grounds on the morning of the match.

Re: mmvca

The shambles at MMVCA HQ continues. Didn't matter anyway on Saturday but lets just cover the decks every week and make it standard procedure.

Agree with Steward being the most respected player in the comp.

Match-winners are pretty much on the money...have to have Wardy in there

News coming from JP Fawkner is that Warren Parker has broken his finger and might have to return in February...major blow for the Roys.

With the 20/20 comp after Xmas and the Australia Day weekend its hard to see the catch-up game being played on a Sunday. Unfortunately the most likely way will be for a fixtured 2-dayer to be shortened to a one-dayer, therefore playing 3 one-dayers after Xmas which would suck. May as well be a one-day comp.

Our club is sick of one dayers as well. Simple scrap the 20/20, its a waste of time.

Oh so Bomber you're on the wet weather committee...........what were the discussions on Saturday morning then?

Yeah I agree scrap the 20/20 pyjama cricket and replay the round 7 match instead. Although they may need two sundays cos of the c turf matches played on sunday that got cancelled too.......wnat a nightmare

Lets just say its not really a committee as the name suggests because I left St Andrews at 8.30am under the assumption that we had decided to rock up to our grounds and let the captains and umpires make the call.

I was informed by one of my team mates who had rung the message line that Turf was off.

In the end it was probaly the right call as most clubs had not had a chance to get covers down on Saturday morning before the rain hit.

As I said earlier, I just check the grounds and it doesn'y really matter what I say. One person calls all the shots.

yeah good call muppet, I was pretty busy playing santa at all the xmas parties due to wash outs and I mentioned the other day that thank god I am captain otherwise i would be playing 3rds, but 1 thing in my favour is that im playing kids and no point hiding them at 10&11 why not see what they have. What do I have to prove.
Also as you can see our scores im not batting till the last 10 overs so the side must be going ok, well we are 10pts clear.
so who are you anyway you weak prick. lol
