I'm sticking with St Mary's particular if it is played at Raeburn (biggest turning wicket in our comp), although I will be waiting to see the make up of St Mary's side. I also believe St Andrews struggle against spin except for Taylor.

Key will be if St Marys top order can see off the new ball from Scotty and Newton. The top order was a little dissapointing during the semi and if they can put on a few, then look out for Browny to dominate (was in great touch last week).

With both teams full of shot makers, this should be an entertaining GF and will go two innings and the four days.

Finals Experience not a factor as both sides have plenty of players who have played finals and GF's.

Being a st andrews player (even though i play in there north west team which is our 5ths) i have to be confident but ollie73 does make a good point that st marys have been the best team all year. i hope our experience gets us home. am looking forward to a great contest and an even better day. look forward to many happy drinks with all supoorts of both teams. better than the flogging we copped on the weekend!

They have been top all season for a reason, plus I like them more than the opposition... haha

I have done a backflip. Thought that if St Andrews won they would account for St Marys.

After seeing bits of both games St Marys are the team to beat. Havent lost a game in an age and have a well balanced attack. New recruits firing!!!

Ha Ha you got to be kidding me, st marys outright with day to spare, you are dreaming St.Andrews will absoloutly wipe the floor with them. Too old Too slow maybe right but we sure as hell have the expieriance. Beat em outright once and i tell you it will happen again. Go sainters

Ive been reading all this rubbish about how the spin twins are going to tear us apart, we cant play spin raeburn turns the most its making me sick. Well why dont they open up the bowling go in with 9 batters its as simple as that. Il tell you why the st.andrews guys dont care whos bowling at them, they make teams earn their wickets and im sure we will make enough runs. They will have to bat twice to get near our 1st innings. Go sainters

the big mouth who fields at first slip didnt u make me laugh when i came out to bat and u where mouthing off n seen 30 runs get slapped off ur bowlers .... least to say the guy who thinks ( he hit it given out LBW) haha ur a joke mate and a big mouth so go ST MARYS :) in an upset

To be fair, Jimmy is not part of that conversation. A little harsh young gun. Jimmy may play hard but off the field he is not one to talk himself up. More cricket talk lads and less character assasinations might be worthwhile

1st time here and already feeling like im watching Home & Away!!!

All the bickering and jealousy.

Just remember that the 2 best teams are facing off in the Grand Final, and thats all there is to it. I have a sneaky suspicion that some of those St.Andrews boys wont be batting in there correct order. That can only mean one thing ! Confidence.

But then again when you have a team like they do, you can afford to bat Smoke,Plugger at 1 & 2

We will be there on Saturday afternoon ready to play. All the talk on this site lately has been how much better than everyone else St Andrews is. Well, there is still 4 days of cricket left in the season before you can start with that stuff.

But seeing as we are the underdogs, there is no pressure on us, as you all think we are just gonna fall over and let them have it. You St Andrew guys on here ( apart from a couple, they know who they are ), think that its already in the bag, well think again.

I think F.O.S can vouch for me that we will have a red hot crack, and if we are good enough, we win. If not, St Andrews win.

Its that simple.

The best side will win...... But as for the no pressure because of the underdog status, its a grand final, there will be pressure i guarantee it, but the older heads of St.Andrews should see us get over the line. But good luck to the St.Marys guys (not that i mean it) but feel i have to say it. Lets get it on

Jimmy, himself is a top bloke. Character degrading is just stupid.

Cricket is cricket, like any game. The best team on the day, or DAYS wins.

Get over yourself if you did not perform in the last game. What will be will be, play hard, train hard, enjoy life!

Can I please ask all St Andrews people to respect the quality opposition that we will be facing on the weekend. Look forward to seeing everyone there on Thursday night to help us prepare as well as all your support over the 4 days.

To Harry, Tuffers and Darren Harris who I have played many years of cricket against I have the up most respect for you and congratulate you on your wonderful season. I hope to have a beer with you as we always do after each days play.

Good Luck guys and good luck to all our guys. Lets hope the game is played in the same spirit as last year.

As for all the people who have played in our comp this year please get down and support or bag whoever you like, but have some fun.

St Marys Vs St. Andrews......

Well it's a Grand Final and as most people who have played in them know, anything is possible. What has happened through the year means diddly squat come 1pm this Saturday arvo.

A few years ago maybe more, (the memory is going), I played in one and we we're smashed by a guy who hadn't made many runs for the whole year, in that game he got 185, i still have nightmares about it, lucky he's a Bomber Boy!!!!

So to both St Marys & St. Andrews players i say good luck and forget the year you've had, cause now is what we all play for, and it comes down to 1 game.

Just quietly, you cant actually believe some of the stuff written on this site.

Having a go at players when your a dudd yourself young gun is a bit rich. When you get smashed and you still decide to have a go at someone, assuming its them tells a lot about you as a bloke.

This forum is built on pumping up your tyres, so take a deep breath.

St Marys are red hot confident of taking it out after winning 7 straight and carrying no one, (trust me i know) and to say there is no pressure on them is laughable.

We all like to talk ******** and have a beer and this site just adds to it.

p.s I have seen a fair bit of NWCA this year, so much so that i think huss is the next bradman of the comp.

Can anyone tell me who is playing in any of the other grades? We have heard lots of talk about A Grade but who r the teams to beat in the other grades. I only know that we (St Andrews) have a strong team in a one day comp but we have no other representation on the weekend in the lower grades. How do the other finals look?
