Whilst i agree partly in what your saying about the standard of the comp, i disagree with the fact that it is very easy to scores heaps of runs.

The standard of the pitches can make it difficult to make runs consistently irrespective of the oppsosition.

You may be a gun cricketer and be able to do that, but when watching our comp i would also think that guys should be making huge scores every week but once you get out there its not that easy due to conditions.

I am not making excuses, just staing my opinion. looks a hell of a lot easier to make runs from the boundary.

The best wickets are come fianls time when coucil has limited grounds to prepare (not that it helped me) and unfortunately its hard to gauge the true standard as not all teams play on these types of wickets.

I never said I was a gun cricketer. That's my point. It is an even comp, but certainly not full of gun cricketers, which enables people like myself to make contributions with less than ideal preparations.

Well dilligaf, watever that means, you are my hero, can i have an autograph.

well, my goodness me! What a week it has been on this site. terrific reading. I dont know who half these lads are but they sure sound like great cricketers. please can some of you move up here to queensland our shield side is in need of some bats. No wonder the vics are giving us a touch up!

Back to cricket, some great scores last weekend. a couple of 300 totals will be hard to chase down. great to see the mighty st andrews boys score some runs but it must have been an easy pitch and pop gun attack. even jimmy got into double figures.

To all the lads talking up how tough and great you are. get over yourselves. pup has an excuse he is young and still learning how to act on the cricket field. he has good role models like mmvca who will show him how to play hard and show respect at the end of play and will learn these things. you other older blokes should no better. it is a real afl thing. all the brovado and no action. a couple of games of rugby league you learn to should respect or it is knocked into you (cant wait for the responce to this comment) lol

I don't want to deviate too far away from the mmvca thread because it is going so well at the moment, but I would just like to say that Shane Watson seems like an absolute tosser to me. He might be able to play, but someone needs to tell him to shut his f****n mouth to the media at the end of each day's play. I was sick of hearing him saying how much of a chance the Aussies were all match. Even when they were chasing 500 he was still saying 'we can get these runs if we bat well'. Someone needs to remind the wanka' that he has only played a few tests and that there are other blokes more qualified to speak. What a tool he is.
