Depends if you want to play at a team with good blokes or not!!! They would have to be the most disliked team in Geelong.

really? ok i'll forget about them then.

Re: New club Coaches/Captains/Players for 2009/10

Casey Lang a good pick up for Thomson Riss. When he was at South Barwon a couple of seasons ago, he was quite sharp. He will be amongst the quickest in Div 2 if he has maintained his pace. You blokes certainly doing the right things again to mount a challenge for Div 1. Lost anyone?

Re: New club Coaches/Captains/Players for 2009/10

Andrew Symonds to Torquay next year. Handy little pick-up for the tigers and will be good for the bar takings as well.

Re: New club Coaches/Captains/Players for 2009/10

Specialist fielder all clubs will tell you how good they are and how good there ground/facilities are, I suggest you get to town and have a look around!! even train with a few clubs pre-season, if you are in no rush and you have ability clubs will trip over themselves for your services. If you are any good you should play Division 1(all turf) as is Division 2, any of the top 6 clubs are strong with depth thru all the grades and good grounds/wickets. Geelong West are reigning premiers and East Belmont have won the last 5 Club championships, that would be a good starting point, why not e-mail a few clubs and see where you are at ?

Re: New club Coaches/Captains/Players for 2009/10

I have heard Bell Post Hill may be in the process of signing a bloke who played 1sts for Prahran, bats at 3 a mate of Travis Faulkheads, and Ryan Mills wants to move from from NDCC and is heading to City, Grovedale may appoint Simon Pearce as Coach probably non playing as he had surgery on his back late last year!!! Shaun Hooley is Captain at East Belmont with Jack Caukfield as Coach, with G.Dew just playing 2nds

Hopefully Rissole can let us know, I will say last week I heard he was asst coach of Waurn Ponds but that seems to be wrong.

Boydy lives at Waurn Ponds and has expressed interest but is not over the line, apparently. Bit of interest from St Peters, who have offered a bit of cash.
Eagles looking for a non playing assistant to help out Skeney at training

Judging by your post you must be an East Belmont man. Looks as though you are trying to talk up east by mentioning the club championship. 'Normal' people would have said Geelong West premiers and Grovedale were runners - up.
