how the kookies looking this yr?

Solid batting line up chock full of young talent, dangerous attck with a bit of smoke, the only question mark is their skipper, not contributing with bat or ball and fitness would really find him out in the top grade

Re: NMCA(formerly Jika) '08/'09

have lost a few...white, flinn, mckenna, bannister (maybe) but i think they have still got good talent.... still got the same captain so all the boys will be ready to go against HDCA at Carlton on Sunday

I just happened to be watching and socials made fools of themselves. The umpires said that the ground was fit to play and socials refused to play. Every other game got away today so socials tried to make the rules to suit themselves. pretty poor form i reckon.

All credit to the NMCA website for publicising it in a respectful way. It was a huge upset and would be a significant milestone for the club which almost got relegated last season.
You are on the wrong tram NMB!

Don’t know the bloke that well and from what I’ve heard about him I really don’t want to get to know him but he has every right to be pissed off. Socials should have gone out to play, rightly or wrongly the umpires made a decision. What’s next, refusing to walk when given out LBW.
9 Down at the start of the day with no hope of winning. Lets face it, the ground could have been bone dry and they would have done the same thing. Bad sports, sore losers.

Well that's revealing. Of course he wouldn't be. Not sure what the Socials expected to gain from playing hard ball. Maybe they're in relegation defence mode already...

As for Boobis, well, he's pretty harmless to play against, except when he makes runs. He doesn't say much at all on the field. Even less when you have a beer with him after the game.

Why is everyone so concerned about him?

Re: NMCA(formerly Jika) '08/'09

Good on the northcote united boys for beating Rosebank.
They thoroughly deserved the win and good on them for celebrating it hard.

The following line on their website was a bit harsh though on Rosebank considering the wet conditions

'After rain delayed the start and Rosebank CC refusing to take the field in the fear of losing'

i noticed that line has been added to the story on the NUCC page....wonder if its by the same bloke who continually has pot shots at Rosebank for paying large sums of money and then went and did it himself.....good on them but how long will it last....3 blokes are 40 odd, 3 imports who will leave at any sign of more money, ask the VTCA clubs!!!! there is 6 blokes that need replacing....what another youth policy??? 3 or 4 of the better kid they have they pinched from DVCA clubs....plus they wont make the four anyway, they are a flash in an ordinary pan

I bet the great man Ada is behind it. Then again moneybank has given united some almighty spankings in the past. Good luck to the boys at alphington park, it always brings a smile to my face when moneybank get beaten.
