Been awhile here goes..............taylors don't have a coach yet . The bloke who was going to do it isn't and the club is advertising, that is the truth.
Thomas doesn't want to coach and really wasn't captain anyway so no damage done there. Shane lee is staying for another year but will probably leave to go to turf. Hoping for the younger Lee to step up with Adrian. No one else leaving. Viani was never going to leave Kealba , the challenge is getting the better of him..... massive job ahead of him but if the penny drops there they will be a tough side to meet every week. It may take him longer than he thinks though but he has lots of pride and will demand it from them. The rest of the comp is as is with no real rumours yet but lots of what is being said is crap so don't fall for it fellas. It will as usual next year taylors , paco ...the rest are fighting for 2 spots. One thing i will say is they are not happy at Roxy, strong mail was there was nearly a walk out but they didn't ...not happy with the club apparently.

My mail has it that Thomas has retired or will go back and captain his old subbie club, a close friend of his told me this. he has not told the lakes yet as he is on the committee and wants them to secure a coach before he tells everyone. either way he wont be wearing the lion next year.

Thats contrary to what J Markham told me!
His brother in law is signed as coach and has 3 guys from Yarraville coming with him!

Hey CantStandya are you a batsman or a fielder???

I hope Thomas has retired that way us batsmen might get some runs.

batsmen. My highest ever score is over 100 but I lost count because I was going for the smash. I dont think ive ever faced thomas.

He is a good bowler , bowls all day but he does not do anything overly special with the ball. Hits the spot at a good pace and bowls plenty of overs = plenty of wickets. Smart bowler

if markham has his brother in law down at the lakes it wont matter if thomo retires as no one will get near the lakes anyway.... might as well engrave the trophy now

I have only watched him play in 2 GF's and it appeared that none of the opposition could hit it.

Gladdy got 225 in the Granny and fell 15 short. Telford, Markham, Daniels, Shephard all comfortable, as for Roxy they were not in the same class.

Gladdy, never comfortable, too busy looking over each others shoulders for the knives.

Poorly led and going backwards, they had more success under Shepard as captain. They even put a trophy in the bag under Viani.

Markhams leadership has put them back in the pack.

If they think some young outswing bowler is going to get them back up there they have another thing coming.

If thats true, the players most likely 2 follow him Patcholli-left handed D Boon
lookalike,Williams-pretty boy leg spinner,C Smart-Gun-Opening swing bowler
middle order bat played a few games with Canberra Comits, maybe even J Baker made over 800 runs last 3 years?

You would think that there is a bit of truth to this as Turner is also Thomas's brother in law.
You would not think Thomas would hand over the captancy to anyone after winning back to back but maybe he would for a family member.

When you think about it Lakes could have a gun side, How does this look.

Singh
Patcholli
Turner (C)
S.Lee
Markham
Cutajar
Morgan
Smart
Thomas
McCaffery (WC)
A.Lee

Some good players in reserve

McMullin
Just
Harrison
J.Lee
Haigh
Verdoorn

I would like to see any side in our comp get close to that

lookalike,

That'd be great. Gotta love the look-alikes. I remember a bowler for Hadfield who used to look like The Paddle Pop Lion. And they also had an off-spinner who was a dead-ringer for Meatloaf. How the hell were you supposed to make runs against that attack????

You are off tap bud Markham is one of the best captains in the comp we were narrowly beaten by Taylors in comp and the year we won flag Camilleri was captain not Shephard.

This year already retained services of Telford despite the rumours, have picked up young fast bowler and middle order bat and eshantha Daniel is returning (no one can bag his abilities) and another young player who left after juniors to play turf and has been prominent at District 2nd returning do not dismiss Glady Park this early my friend or J Markham.

No need to get angry, was just stating the facts that you have gone backwards since Markham has taken over.

A district 3rd 11 player will not help you nor will a young outswing bowler. Eshantha is a good pick up.

Makes no differance who you pick up if the lakes have picked up the Yarraville boy's it is game over!!!!!
I would save all your money if i were you because you can spend up big and Taylors will only spend up more.

Save your money untill they are out of the comp

Re: North West Cricket Association

A few deep fryed Mars Bars been thrown around in here.

Might have to fire up the old deep fryer if all these new blokes are coming down to the Lakes.

Will have a new menu on the shelf this year boys
