Good inswinger by Zaheer to get Salman Butt. Its a very good wicket because he is one of the dangerous batsman. The ball is swinging so we should aim to get 1-2 more wickets before lunch.

Why is Pakistan playing Akmal? He is playing very badly. In test match it is even more important to have a good keeper.

Younus Khan has a brilliant record against India. 1000 runs and 3 hundreds at an average of more than 100. The sooner we get him the better for us.

Great bouncer by Zaheer to get Younis out. You got what you wanted. Now you should ask for Yousufs wicket. :laugh:
Zaheer should bowl around the wicket because he wont get lbw otherwise. He had 2 close appeal but the ball pitched outside leg stump so it was not out. The angle is also taking the ball away from over the wicket so he should switch to right handers.

india is having a good start....zaheer is very good bowler in tests....im happy that they have good icc umpires for this match......not stupid umpires like suresh shastri or saheba.

We are having so many close appeals. One more wicket before lunch will be satisfying. Ganguly is bowling very well and there is some swing. Munaf Patel is little unlucky he bowled well in the start.

yes ganguly is getting swing and some close calls.....what a great ball....yaseer hameed out from great googly by kumble....hamed was struggling against kumble in last over too.... pakistan in deep trouble....great work form india

Yes great start for India. Hameed was always playing dangerously against Kumble. He got completely beaten by googly. On the other end Ganguly is putting all balls in correct areas. Great bowling :D
I think Zaheer or Munaf should get another spell now to attack Yousuf.

Its been a great session for India. All the bowlers have been excellent.Good to see that Kumble has given Munaf another go just before lunch.

Poor session from Pakistan's point of view. Managed only 74 runs and lost 3 important wickets. Not what Pakistan would have wanted after choosing to bat first.

big wicket for india!!!!!!!......mohd yousuf the main pakistan batsman dismissed .....brilliant in swing by sourav ganguly...he was troubling the batsman and now gets the reward... if they get one more wicket now then kumble and bhajji can finisht the tail!

A wicket for Munaf too. He got some good extra bounce with his height and got Malik to play a akwardly. All bowlers have bowled well and success for all of them. Pakistan would be regretting the decision to bat. India will get better conditions to bat later too. Kumble is impressive captaincy with managing the bowling.

Except Harbhajan, who has bowled only one over. He will have a bigger role to play in the 2nd innings. Munaf Patel doing well is a very good sign for India especially with the tour of Australia coming up.
Pakistan are under a lot of pressure as a wicket now will expose the tail. Kamran Akmal has the opportunity to prove a point here.

What a great start for kumble as captain. ganguly was the surprise bowler i feel he is always under bowled. good choice by kumble to give him the opportunity. zaheer and munaf were awesome too. I am impresseed with Munaf. I hope he keeps playing this way. Pakistan are falling apart now. India should get the chance to bat today.

Kumble has shown great captaincy. He made smart bowling changes today. Kumble and Bhajji are cleaning the tail now. I think India will get to bat soon after tea. India is playing so well but the stupid commentary from DD is irritating me :cursing:

This is a very lucky ground for Kumble. 3 wickets for him so far. Surprisingly, Akmal was doing well, but he was beaten by a faster delivery that kept low.
A great session for India. I don't think anyone would have imagined that we would be able to get Pakistan in this situation on the first day. After this performance Shoaib Malik is going to get a lot of criticism for electing to bat first. That move has backfired badly for Pakistan.

Pakistan in the mire a bit, a lot rising on Misbah if they are to get the 200.

Not a bad first day for Kumble, I expect he thinks this captaincy lark is easy.

this is frustrating. they have done a good job but should finish it soon. i think they will get 200 now.

This has been a good session for Pakistan. The bowlers are having trouble in breaking this partnership. The new ball is available and has been taken as the spinners haven't been able to trouble Sami and Misbah.

Yeah, Pakistan won the last session. The Pakistani batsmen were comfortable for the most part of the session. It just shows how good the wicket is and Pakistan will have a hard job if Indian batsmen apply themselves, but first India needs to get those two wickets early.
