South Africa in Australia

Re: South Africa in Australia

did I pick the wrong time to get a drink? What happened to kallis?

I'm not sure we could play 5 bowlers until our batsman are in better form but it's an option. Could also decrease the work load on johno.

We'll be lucky to get 350 I reckon.

Very lucky.

It's our lucky day

johno closes in on his second half century, lovely lofted drive to mid on for four....

anyone looking forward to dougie, siddle and johno bowling on this bouncing deck?

Re: South Africa in Australia

if these two could get to the break clarke could get anything! 20 off his HS and they look in complete control

wow clarke is averaging 60 in his past 18 test matches

fantastic effort

Re: South Africa in Australia

Very happy to be wrong. :)

MJ, any chance he'll open the batting? :p

Clarke such a mature batsmen nowadays.

Very pleased, well done Aussies.

Re: South Africa in Australia

anyone listening to roebuck.....

suggesting it's nice to have such a nicely played series from both the crowd and teams....

Could it be because india aren't here and south africa play cricket hard but with skill and grace. Australia have not changed much in that regard.... perhaps it was a certain spinner and captain that lead to what happened last year....

btw his article this morning was lame, should have spent more time on talking up a great tour by the SAF quicks then taking badly worded pot shots at a couple of coaches.... if that is our biggest weakness then we have no troubles..... (but it was interesting to see him use australia pandering to india as a reason for them not making a stand over Zimbawe..... why not take a shot at all the countries not doing anything )

anyway back to the cricket..... this is great fighting cricket from a young australian pair. We get to watch these two for at least the next 5 years :D

perhaps they need to do the old school team trick of turning the batting line upside down so everyone gets a decient hit :D Question is, could haydos stay around with the batsman as he looks like a number 10 ;)

I was just about to say that.

Re: South Africa in Australia

One of Australia's best sessions of the series, if not the best.

0/101 for the session.

Re: South Africa in Australia

The best possible session we could have hoped for.

0/101 off 28 overs. :)

Now lets continue this.

Re: South Africa in Australia

Duminy, of all people gets Clarke caught and bowled off a full toss.

Clarke made a fantastic 138.

Australia 7/379.

Re: South Africa in Australia

Pretty poor shot, really lazy. Disappointing way to end a fine innings.

MJ hopefully will continue to push on to higher glory.

He's actually a quite handy bowler. I rate him.

Anything over 400 is great, well done Aussies.
