South Africa in Australia

Re: South Africa in Australia

I'd be very surprised if South Africa won more the one of the ODI's.

Other than Duminy no one looked like making runs. They will have to improve a fair bit if they're going to challenge us in the series.

We don't use injuries as excuses.

If we did there would have been non stop talk about our best fast bowler and best spinner missing the entire test series. :)

True but you have to remember that it is a 20 20.

In an odi there is more time to bat and form partnerships and if Duminy keeps going the way he is all he needs is some support from Amla, De Villiers and perhaps a big hitting lower order player like Albie Morkel or Mark Boucher and I think they will post some very good totals to bowl too.

No you seem to just make up the most logical one.

But there aren't any now so you can't use it.

That is all I said I didn't say now you guys can't blame it on injuries like you always do.

Re: South Africa in Australia

I think comparing a side's 20 20 form to its odi prospects is pretty rich.

If that was the way things worked Zimababwe would be a better odi team than Australia as they beat them at the 20 20 world cup. :p

Re: South Africa in Australia

3 wins in a row.... this aussie side is on the slide :)

great to watch the hussey brothers run riot the other night. Steyn in all class, even in the shorter game. Clarke was missed and it will be good to see our most in form batsman back.

But if using one off matches then Bangladesh must also be better than Australia :D

Yeah well Zimbabwe have only played one 20 20 against Australia so I am going off that sorry as there are not too many other options.

Who is you, may I ask?

Media?

General public?

Posters on this or other forums?

Will there be an excuse from you if SA fail miserably in this ODI series?

Just curious, as it seems a rather outlandish statement to be made.

All i said was South Africa have to improve their performances to challenge Australia. And that's clearly true.

Australia convincingly beat South Africa in two Twenty20 games and that form must count for something. Our ODI team is only going to be better with the inclusions of Symonds and Clarke.

"You" is a mixture of all the things you (biggie) mentioned. Have I made an excuse about any of South Africa's losses so far ? maybe that answers your question.

I fail to see any logic in that post.

Don't try and rectify it, the point has gone through to the keeper.

Now those useless hacks from WA ****ed up we have to win the game and do so without 2 of the best T20 players in the world

Mate, no one is making excuses.

Australia have had injuries throughout the whole test series and no one has made excuses.

You're comment was completely ridiculous. No one has made excuses so far. What reason would we have to to start making excuses now?

We'll thrash South Africa so you're the only one that will need to make excuses. @|

McGain might be back though.

Big reliance on Blizzard, Hodge, Quiney, Macca and Crossy to fire.

Don't know why you're relying on WA to do anything, absolutely useless at the moment.
