All out 375. A very good score that.

Siddle out for 23, Krejza left not out on 30.

Ntini the pick of the bowlers with 4/72.

From where we were, thats a win!

Cant let South Africa get a good start here, need to take regular wickets.

Re: South Africa in Australia

Krejza isn't bad with the bat. I didn't know he was that good. He looked like he knew what he was doing. Apparently he made a double century for the NSW U/19 team... not bad. :p

Just need wickets now!

Re: South Africa in Australia

1/27 at lunch. South Africa have been very cautious so far, taking 15 overs for those 27 runs. Smith is 12 from 44, Amla 6 from 16. McKenzie's innings of two took 31 balls.

Pitch has certainly Krejza who has got some nice drift and bounce.

Second session should be an entertaining one.

Re: South Africa in Australia

Where has Krejza been all this time, he rips the ball a mile without even a hint of a suspect action, I like the way he's bowling very aggressively, and sadly I didn't get to see him bat.

Dissappointed in South Africa letting their foot off the pedal but good fightback from the Aussie boys. Smith looks out of the right mindset but Amla is definitely one to watch, very skillful player.

Re: South Africa in Australia

Amla and Smith are both very good, and had good years. Either wicket, particually Smith's, is valuable.

Re: South Africa in Australia

I rate Amla's wicket a bit higher than Smith's, only just. Smith doesn't look to be in touch and isn't really hurting us, although if he does get motoring then we are in trouble.

Re: South Africa in Australia

What do we think of Siddle? If Johnson didn't take ridiculous wickets with rubbish balls, Id almost say I prefer Siddle in the team instead of him.

IMO we need a different type of bowler, we have 3 strike bowlers in Johnson, Siddle, Lee; I think someone like a Hilfenhaus or Bracken, someone who really swings it a mile would benefit the team more, still impressed with all our boys, given time they will greatly improve, just a thought though.

South Africa are 1/104 as I type.

Re: South Africa in Australia

Krejza just bowled Amla with a fantastic ball for 47. That was a badly needed wicket.

SA now 2/106.

Re: South Africa in Australia

Graeme Smith chopped on for 48.

RSA 3/110

De Villiers in and Australia with their tails up.

Re: South Africa in Australia

Now Smith plays on after Kallis nearly did the same thing in the previous over. Johnson gets the crucial wicket. Smith gone for 48.

SA 3/110

Re: South Africa in Australia

Did anyone understand, I think it was Simon O'Donnell - I dunno maybe not - but did anyone hear him say something about Bracken trying to become a spinner, or produce a spin ball or something... if you did please enlighten me on the subject.
