Nice work from Australia to get back from 3/15 to 6/294

On a batting track, and day 1 have to give the day to South Africa!

Clarke and Symonds both through wickets away, if they had of kept their head down Australia might of won the day and been in a great position.

Still 15mins to stumps though...day 1 not over yet.

Not sure of Symonds, Haddin or Clarkes shot selection. All poor when they were all over the bowling.

What a day's cricket though, even stevens i say even though SAF will be kicking themselves.

why would they kicking themselves? day 1 pitch which offered little swing and they might keep australia under 350 thats a good result i would have thought. Admitedly they had the aussies 3/15 because they bowled in good areas but still all in all a good days play for the saffas.

Not just a great ball but a great set up. A couple of short balls followed by a yorker. Fantastic bowling.



341 is a fairly even day but the Australians will be happier considering at one stage the score was 3/15.

Good comeback by Australia in the end. I'm sure they will take 241 for 9 after being 15/3. If they can get another 20/30 runs for the final wicket it'll give them an extra boost.

Looks like it could be an interesting series.

Good comeback by the Aussies, but i feel that if we get around 350 on that pitch it is no where near enough.

Hopefully we can get South Africa out cheaply otherwise were looking at 450+

And i don't think that getting SA out cheaply is on the cards.
