hehehe thats my job:D

Re: South Africa tour England

England now have two of the most gritty and determined batsmen out there. Both with something to prove. Belly will want to make this a BIG one and Collingwood will want to make it something. Watch the Ginger Prince twins go!

Re: South Africa tour England

Uh oh!!! Collapse it is! A Collingwood duck isn't going to bode well for his place in the team. If it comes down to him or Bell being dropped for Flintoff I cant see a centurion going :?

EDIT: My bad, not a duck ... but still, not a telling contribution by any means.

Re: South Africa tour England

A dejected looking Collingwood walking back to the pavillion, poor umpire descision by the umpire. Could prove costly with Flintoff waiting in the wings.

Re: South Africa tour England

Go Harris! i knew the wickets would come lol:D Flintoff in for Collingwood should be a good move..
hmm if only i could see whats happening, cricinfo dont explain things too well

MORKEL! I cant see england making many more runs from here,
good to see Morkel living up to all the talk

Re: South Africa tour England

The innings continues to follow the pattern of: big stand - 3 wickets - big stand - 3 wickets, so hopefully a big stand is to follow??

Re: South Africa tour England

The England innings has, in some ways, highlighted the weak links in the line up.

Collingwood is horribly out of form and Ambrose is not really a test no.7. Also, England still have the weakness at 3, in that we always seem to lose that 2nd wicket very quickly after the first.

As many have been saying for a while, there is a very good nucleus there, we just need the 2/3 missing players to turn us from a decent side into a very good side.

Back to this test, can see England trying to bat until an hour or 30 minutes from the end of play and then having 7/14 overs at the South African openers in the hope of nicking out a quick wicket.

Re: South Africa tour England

Given how the wicket is, what are the chances of England getting enough wickets to win the game? I reckon a draw is a safe bet at this stage regardless of weather conditions - there go 50 betting points :(

Re: South Africa tour England

If the weather holds out then England will win. And the man to do the business is the Monster. Imagine South Africa with a good spinner (taking wickets as well as building pressure) instead of Paul Harris.
