Weapons and YWL,

I just don't get you. You talk yourselves up like you are the best thing since sliced bread, but you are:

1) a top-order batsmen in the 2nds (Browny);
2) a specialised fieldsman in the 1sts (YWL).

If you are going to play a kid in the 1sts, get him to do something (bat him if he is there as a batsmen; bowl him if he is a bowler). You are an old side as it is, so play the kids. And I mean play them rather than effectively have 10 people in the team.

Our club is playing kids at the moment. And they are either getting decent overs or batting in the top-order.

As for Melton, who cares if they are supposedly weak as water. They have quality batsmen and are playing the kids in prominent roles.

you missed 1 thing.......we are apart of 1 of the best teams over the last 2 years.........and im fine with playing in the 2's.........and dont really care what other clubs are doing......average age in the 1's is 29 so if that is an old side ill cop it on the chin.....and another thing we dont make the batting orders or pick the teams.........so what are you getting at...........:confused:

sorry to open up an old post but why isnt clemsen bowling? is he bowling good heat?

dont be sorry d.d had a shoulder opp over winter........i dunno about good heat but im sure he will be putting them in the right area's to take a few scalps this week end.........;)

dont be sorry d.d had a shoulder opp over winter........i dunno about good heat but im sure he will be putting them in the right area's to take a few scalps this week end.........;)

ok thats good to know. remember a few years ago he was quickest in comp and it was like 40 degrees that day! suppose hes getting old too

To my recallection neither of us have ever talked ourselves up. We do however talk our club up and why not? They are doing well again aren't they?

And who are you mate? Tell us where you play. Or are you just a scorer? Because i don't know because you haven't had the balls to come out and say.
And as dogga said it is not our fault when or where we bat or bowl because neither of us are captains mate so what is it exactly you want us to do about it? In my view i have to earn a higher spot in the batting line up in the 1s and hopefully i get that chance but im just happy for the experience.

Jeeeesus Weapons, print this out and put it up prominently near the Davie Gowers so big balls can have a gander at it.

He would love it!!! I can just see the Unit now zipping them around some poor bloke's ears..."What would I have been doing to you ten years ago..." top sledger is Nuts.
