Not if he is in contention to open in B/G First test and he is according to CA.

Yeh good point.

Yeah but if we play all 4 of them in 1 match then someone is going to have to go at 4 he makes the most sense. All 4 batsmen are equally in contention to open at the moment imo.

If we do 2 in each test match then it doesn’t matter.

In any case this is the most important current series we concentrate on as it could well determine the next Australian long term Test opener.

Some new stuff:

- Marcus Harris will open alongside Cameron Bancroft in the first Australia A match against India A.

-According to multiple anonymous industry sources, Harris will also open in the second Australia A match, alongside young gun Sam Konstas.

-The final B-G test squad will be announced after the second Australia A match.

So clearly Harris is the front runner if he’s in both A teams. I’m guessing McSweeney will be at 3 for both games given he’s been the Aus A captain for the last few series. One match each for Konstas and Bancroft feels reasonable.

If McSweeney does very well in the first match I can see him opening in the 2nd on.

The front running CA pet is what he is. Is CA planning on preparing Test decks same as those roads at the St Kilda ground where Harris makes merry to keep his name in the picture. Jeez Harris averages a piss weak @25. How in this universe is that Test standard, even for an opener.

If we play every home test match at Junction Oval we’ll be set.

Australia A captain Nathan McSweeney is confident he could open for the Test side if an opportunity arises

Test contender Nathan McSweeney has declared he's ready for international cricket and hopes he and his Australia A teammates can make the selectors' decisions for the first Test against India as hard as possible.

Aussies win toss in Mackay and will have first use with the Kooka.
Surprise surprise, young gun Sam Konstas has been given first crack to open alongside Victoria's Marcus Harris, with Cameron Bancroft listed at #3. Josh Philippe also gets first crack with the gloves.
Live stream on CA website or Fox. I no longer have Foxtel, what a bummer.

Pretty funny that they said Harris and Bancroft would open and then didn’t do that

Buckingham gets an incredible amount of wickets from strangles down leg.

I’m starting to think he does it on purpose.
He does. Not sure it is deliberate tho. For mine he struggles with his line these days. Has dropped in form past year.

Be cool if Sharkie and ZMan could join us too. Did you ask any of your team mates about coming on here.

Go round to the lefty O'Neill.
