The BaggyGreens Thread

Been looking at marnus numbers in last 10 Tests and not good reading. One ton and averaging mid @30s. Only a reasonably good Pak series lifts it to that level.

Yeah he’s had a pretty average run.

He made a 90 in our last test match over in New Zealand though. Hopefully he’s turned things around.

You know when streams have that little info banner in a corner of the screen with 2 players on it and something like “Match starts in 15 minutes”.

Something that’s really annoyed me is Fox had Cummins and Kohli on it instead of Cummins and Bumrah.

It probably gets more engagement to have Kohli on there but feels really disrespectful to have Kohli on it instead of the captain of the team in Bumrah.

Great first session by the Aussies

I honestly think that’s one of the best sessions I’ve seen us bowl for a bit.

Especially the opening spell between Starc and Hazlewood. We’ve taken more wickets before but I think we just looked clinical so far.

KL Rahul was looking impressive and leaving the ball very well so I’m glad we got him out. Pretty much just need to get Pant out now and we should be looking good.

Was a brute but Kohli made it look worse because Josh tossed in the shorter one at his body after he had cleverly dragged him out of his crease.

Yeah I watched the setup that CA posted as a video (really appreciate when they do stuff like that). Very good bowling.

Surprising that this track looks to be settling down as, Starc/Hazlewood had little trouble on it then India ditto at the start of their second innings. I honestly figured this pitch would be faster and harder to bat on from day 2 onwards as it baked and cracked under the hot Perth sun.
