You say "just"? OK, then there must be a difference. From my experience it's the other way around: applying a local anaesthetic takes the "just" since it is the mildest form of anaesthetization during which you keep being awake and are fully accountable. The next stage is sedation where you get an injection that makes you drift off within a few seconds for half an hour or longer and leads to a retrograde amnesia when you wake up again . You're not accountable and must be supervised for 24 hours. The highest stage is narcosis or an anaesthesia that requires artificial respiration. I got sedated for the first time in my life two months ago and found it to be a very unpleasant experience.No just sedation, it's good though as I've had it before![]()

If you had a sedation before, what was it like? Did you lose consciousness and couldn't remember anything afterwards?
