Donald Trump concessions on Ukraine have played into the hands of Vladimir Putin , experts have warned, at a time when intelligence chiefs say Moscow is preparing its military for a major war in Europe. US defence chief Pete Hegseth told European counterparts on Wednesday that Ukraine's dream of returning to its pre-2014 borders was an 'illusionary goal' and that Kyiv's wish for NATO membership was 'not realistic'. His statements are widely seen as a major victory for Putin and a devastating blow to Kyiv, which as a result could be forced to cede vast swathes of territory without the prospect of a security guarantee.

Putin had in mind taking Kyiv in a week but due to the grit if the Ukranian people, three years later he has yet to even take the Donbas. So what chance taking Europe you knob head dictator. You will only bring further heartache to Russian mothers, sisters, daughters. All tyrants should be drowned at birth.

I dont call them bully wannabes, not when they boast the worlds largest Navy (stand corrected) and we live on the worlds largest island, with a massive coastline to protect. The Yanks saved our arses in WW2 from invasion by the Japanese Empire in the crucial Battle of Coral Sea. Will the delusional Trump do the same this time if we are again facing an invader. Perhaps, ironically, it will be Japan that will be our saviour 80 years later.

Typical of the Chinese. I think our AWACS (sp?) keep a close eye on these sneaky commie ships. They are pests.
Their actions and purile rebuttals say a lot. If anything Trump worthy, keeping a close eye and constraints on China is worth doing. Pirates of the Seas, bugor em'.

I question why a solitary AWAC and not flying with allies. Commies saw this as a prime time to bully..or worse as hearing these flares could have blown our plane from the sky had they been worse directed.

I think our fighter jets wouldn't have the range of our AWACs, maybe a series of escorts? Problem is that would further escalate tension. Taking the high ground is the best way imo but some creative accessories to our AWACs like chaff mixed with smoke might be worthy of consideration. Another scary defense is EMP guns to fry the electrics of drones, planes, jets,... even ones hefted by one man.
But retaliation leads to escalation, God forbid.
I rather see us develop better defences to those obvious pests spying on everyone. Is that possible? Toughened AWACs would be nicer imo but with other options?
I'd actually would like to see Trump bluster at Chi-nah as he calls the scrutible ones. I'd prefer a Trumpian Empire to a Cinese one! 😩😢 Truly.🤮

Isn't it Terry. This is proof, as are the future flying machines we are designing and producing that Australian hi-tech R&D and Production to Market, is very healthy and well up to global standard. How about the fact Australia is also building what is hoped will be the world's smartest quantum computer. May lead to the holy grail of science , TIME TRAVEL.

Trump's arrogance is staggering. He's orchestrated a Saudi "Peace" conference about the war in Ukraine. Only Russia and the USA attended with tough talking. Even Trump suggested the war was Ukraine's fault. 😵‍💫

Naturally Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and European nations were outraged at any peace talks not involving them. Too right! The rebuttal to this outrage was loud US voices with many weasel words. 🤥😏

Personally, I reckon Nato should expel the Trump circus and cancel our Australia's useless AUKUS deal with the Yanks, because they have gone Fascist with even Musk doing fascist salutes, very publically. The Australian Defense Force is keeping three Chinese warships spotted 150 nautical miles from Sydney under close surveillance.
The vessels were first detected in international waters off north-east Queensland last week and have been sailing steadily down the coast in recent days.
"Defense is monitoring the People's Liberation Army-Navy Jiangkai-class frigate Hengyang, the Renhai-class Cruiser named Zunyi and the Fuchi-class replenishment vessel Weishanhu, which continue to operate to the east of Australia," an ADF spokesperson said today.
It's believed this is the furthest south China's navy has traveled down the east coast outside of an official military visit to Australia.

Keep your distance Commies. Notice how Australia respects other nations in territorial waters.
