mate if u really believe that we are the only club to pay $$ u have seriously no idea wats goin on!
i dunno if u play in senior div mate but most teams pay their players.
keilor pay a ********load of wedge to their players? doutta, RPB, sth caulfield, mc kinnon, spotswood, etc etc etc the list goes on and on!!
most "sprukers" on this site seem to have alot of thoughts on what they "think" YCCC pays but really have no clue wat so ever
1 other thing - if played at our club u would know how much of a ball we have down there - we all their for the love of the club and the hunger for flags! i mean last year we won 1sts & 2nds - no amount of money brings u that amount of joy @|

Looks like ive upset some members of this thread by saying how it actually is instead of just making up rubbish like most others do. i think i have done well to combat everyone having pot shots at my club

when you talk about clubs spending money no club is spending more money than Airport West this year with Brown,Jones,Magafas,Jan and nothing was better than seeing those scumbags lose on the weekend after that dog Asif Jan went there.
Talk about raping a club Browny is going there for 1 year then he is off overseas for 2 years

Don't you think the problem lies with the VTCA though? The fact that everyone can have this perception that YCCC pays everyone, whether they do or not, means that the competition isn't managing the Paid Player process effectively. It just seems like it is another shambolic half-arsed attempt by an organising body that is pretty inept. These are the same guys that swear by the bonus point system, which encourages defensive bullsh*t cricket and rewards teams who play every second game on a postage stamp, scoring more runs and therefore getting more points.

Don't you think the problem lies with the VTCA though? Not saying Jones would struggle - he's a gun, always makes team of the year and looks really organised at the crease. But with the ball coming down a few kms quicker just think the one coming into his body that he doesn't seem to like might undo him a bit more than most of the pop-gun attacks in Senior A tend to trouble him.
