The StAlbans coach Dave Roach knew about Asif as he was captain coach of druids when they won the flag but no one thought he was this low and if you want to know the story Browny was in the car park waiting while Asif was training with St Albans so it wasn't just a out of the blue phone call they had this planned well before he told StAlbans he wasn't playing. This was proven by AWStC leaving a space on their professional player list.

Don't know if you've heard the story about Brown and Keilor but as APW StC have a history of flogging players from there. Andreadis, Magafas and now Brown.

Apprantly his paperwork for his visa didnt come through and he had to leave the country until it was processed. However if Keilor signed some form then he could have stayed while it was processed. Keilor said no way to put it nicely and Browny was off to some nice country bordering Aus until he was allowed back!

no i didn't know that about brown and keilor but it is interesting, i couldn't believe he left keilor after all they did for him he had everything handed to him on a silver platter so for him to leave keilor the offer from AWStC must of been huge.

Think he may have played at Airport West before he played at Keilor. I could be wrong though.

Re: VTCA Thread

Bakes at home today vs Altona.....another century?

If he tons up today, considering he will have minimum semi finals to play, can he break the 1000?

Other Games:

Doutta to good for Youlden, their still my tip for the flag.
Sth Caulfield to beat McKinnon, McKinnon seriously under manned unless Mullaney performs.
Hampton to defeat Chelsea outright by drinks on the 1st day (Chelsea the worst Senior Div side in the last 10 years)
Royal Pk to knock off Keilor, Keilor are just travelling at the moment, no momentum. Need Porter to fire off a ton.
And the upset of the round, The social drinkers (OEG) to knock off Spotty, with Iain McBain to ton up.

Haydn McKeon made 97. He wouldn't have made 97 in total for the last 2 years!!!

Was batting No 10 last year.

Think that young Spotty kid is named McKenzie. Played against him in the 2's last year. Must have improved a hell of a lot.

How many did you make Mickey???

Re: VTCA Thread

36 odd.. Not sure exactly, but got myself out.. Again..

Beautiful deck out there, but the ball was swinging everywhere.. Hopefully it will be enough.

Haydn has been playing brilliantly this year so far, just sucks he couldn't ton it up today..

Any other results?? I see Hampton only just bowled out Chelsea and Keilor didn't bowl RPBCC out.

looks like your on the money there perty.. it was also good to see bakes go in at the end of the day and didnt prefer a NIGHTWATCHMAN go in before him.. there are a lot of snakes in this comp that would have wanted to send a night watchman in so they could slide down the order..
Good on ya bakes..@|

Your spot on there Century....."bags of wickets" may have had bags of taddies to get rid of at Bakes expense...."bags" take a look down the batting card and you'll see the "watchman" protecting the gayboys....;)

Get off YCCC's back, they have just done what every other club does when they lose a late wicket.
