New Zealand are now 6/318.

McIntosh was finally dismissed for 136 after he should have been out yesterday morning. Then in his next over Taylor also for the wicket of McCullum for 31. New Zealand are only 11 runs up but they have 4 wickets in hand.

New Zealand were bowled out for 371. A good effort from West Indies today considering at one stage New Zealand were 4/316.

Fidel Edwards was the star with the ball taking 7/87. If the West Indies can bat well they might still have a chance.

Currently New Zealand lead by 64 runs.

West Indies have made an average but better start to their 2nd innings. Chattergoon and Gayle came out swinging last night before Patel got Chattergoon caught in slip for 25. Then Vettori got Sarwan for 1. At stumps the score was 2/62.

Today Gayle and Marshall started well before Patel got Marshall caught in slip for 18. Then first ball Patel got Chanderpaul! He bowled a shocking full toss to which Chanderpaul got a leading edge straight back to the bowler.

The West Indies are in big trouble a 4/106 with a lead of only 42 runs.

This partnership is the key for the West Indies. Gayle must make a big hundred.

Chris Gayle gets his ton!!!!

His first since 2005 and in 47 innings. Last time he made a ton he got 317.

A very patient and uncharacteristic hundred for him but well deserved.

He was almost run out going for a quick single when on 99. Luckily Patel misfielded.

Anyone see Darren Powell lose the plot and throw the ball away in frustration yesterday?


Thought it was funny but stupid in the same time. Why would you lose your temper if you knew that you had screwed up your run up?

So far these two have put on 118 runs and the West Indies lead by 160 runs. A great effort from these two so far. Hopefully they will continue it into the final session.

Franklin hits Nash with a bouncer and then gets him out caught off the glove with another bouncer for 65.

West Indies are 5/230 and now there is alot of pressure on Gayle to make at least 170.

Gayle batted for the whole of day 4. A fantastic effort on his part.

The West Indies currently have a lead of 214 runs. If they can get a lead of around 270 then anything is possible. Gayle has batted very sensibly so far but i feel it's only a matter of time before he starts to go for it.

Halfway through the first session on day 5 the West Indies are 7/327.

So far these two have put on 55 runs. The West Indies lead by 263 runs. If they can bat for another half hour they will probably have done enough to force a draw and keep their number 7 ranking.

Gayle out for 197, very unluckily caught behind. He hit it into McCullums shoe and then it popped up into his gloves. A fantastic knock by Gayle, he has given the West Indies a real chance in this match.

West Indies 8/342, leading by 278.

Interesting to note in every innings so far this match someone has taken a 5 wicket haul and someone has made a ton. It could be a very interesting final 2 sessions.
