Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association

heard alot bout this site and after readin the posts from last year, cant belive some of the crap that was wrote about.
1st- everyone knows there are a few...... soft teams/&reasons why some of the a matts wont come up to turf. some acknowledged we were helping out the comp having the 2nd turf team, and we had a dip- thankyou, to those that potted us- SICK IT UP UR ARSE! yes we lost a couple outright loses yes , (think 3 from memory) which obv no 1 happy with, but we also pushed st.johns & congs in different games and with a little more batting depth we actually should of had congs outright in 1 game. every week we had a dip, u speak of us needing leadership- our captain in the 2nds peter thomas was brilliant. as for us beating the our 1sts, wat do u want us to do? not take it serioulys and roll over? mayb we had a point to prove? hope we have 2 teams in turf again and u all can sook about it. myself and maybe a couple more got an oppurtinity on turf which i loved the challenge, and hopeforlly now some of those younger kids will improve from the experience
2nd it was cleared by tram on his post-that russell stood down WELL B4 THE END OF THE YEAR.so no 1 at our club backstabbed anyone by looking for a coach b4 the season was out.
3rd- funniest thing i heard was I might want to leave the roosters? any 1 that knows me would laugh at that. even if some wanted to pay a few hundred a game for some 1 that cant bowl, bat and def not feild, i stil wouldnt leave- EVER
last- all those having a go at diesel well u know where u can stick those comments too. only know diesel for a short time and i think the club has made a great decision and all the players that i speak to are all on board behind him
cant wait to get back amoungst it

I agree 100%, plus the standard in the Willi comp isn't that much better then the churches:cool:

Your spot on there mate. Willi comp is stronger we all know that but its not got to do with the players only.......
The association is a joke. The guy that runs it is a knob. He wont let his baby go and join Willi comp because that means he will have no control or power. The comp is run like a half way house.
We need 2 umpires in Turf & A matts for a start.

I think the Willi comp would't have a problem with us joining I think its Geoff who has the problem.
If it happened it would be the best thing to happen to the churches comp and it will be our chance to show everyone that our boys can play!!!!!:)

Its great to see you say what Ive been trying to say on here for a while.
Roosters 2nd stopped the turf from folding and everyone should be thank full for that.
As far as Chris goes..........lets just wait and see before everyone starts name calling. He has done all the right things so far and thats all that matters.

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association

all I can say is the roosters will go all the way this season, our club is the best and with young people coming through on and off the field and things are looking up.go the roosters

good luck with that champ. you made the finals because there were 6 teams playing last year and your club was 2 of them, so the odds were stacked in your favour. i think there might be 8 teams this season, with roosters providing 2 of them. lets see with a quarter of the teams from your club, if 1 can make the finals. then we'll think about winning a flag. anyway where were the young people last season? the 2nd turf side was full of old hacks and no hopers. lots of promise there :D

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association

just being positive pal it's not our fault there's only six teams; and the seconds arnt old hacks; they are great clubmen; and all have a fantastic knowledge of the game. All young guys now have jobs at the club and are doing more for the club that's what I ment. And we have enormous talent but none of it fired last year hopefully this year will be different. I think chris smith will do a good job at the club, and I've got his back 100%, and he's got alot of good players to help him out.

Well who is the smart ass then. If you play in the turf side for your club did you make any runs against those old hacks or are you just full off shit.|@|@

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association

Hey all, those of you who have played with/against me will know who I am from my user name. Some of us aren't scared to be ID'd on these forums!:p And we won't write our comments any differently.

Having said that, after training for a few weeks under Diesel, I've found the playing group have nothing but respect and admiration for the bloke. Considering the pasting he's recieved from some of you out there who would prefer to snipe from the shadows, he's been nothing but professional in his approach toward the players and training.

And if you guys who are happy to hide and have a go are MAN enough to step out and show yourselves.....Nah, that'll NEVER happen, who am I kidding?

Be interesting to see how all the teams go this year, not just the Roosters. Good luck to all those playing this year, in all grades. Not just the turf!

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association

good to see more teams in the comp as well as more teams in turf, with more teams in turf will there be a lot more sunday games, or has churches got grounds in mind?

hopefully that there wont be that many sunday games, cricket is a saturday sport. as with going on about roosters players and coach etc, just wait til the season starts, then every1 will see if it was a god choice or not, roosters could be right up there in the finals or they could be down the bottom, no-one knows until after cricket has started

yeah i'm with you buckets, those who know me will know who i am, and those who dont may never find out. having said that how can people post under fake names............blah blah blah. what a ************. another person preaching to everybody else yet doing the same. buckets you're a goose

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association

you have to be the biggest tool on the face of the earth if u don't know buckets obviously you haven't played against him, I hope you get your chance this season and he fixed you up. 1short who do you play for? And what's your name?

good to see you have made it clear who you are buckets??? get real idiot. you post under a nic name and then have a go at others for doing the same. what a looser |@

fine legs and 1short- just goes to show that u 2 are absolute wankers who are full of shit if u dont know who buckets is from the altona roosters who has been playin in the turf &high grades for a long long time taking wickets, and i personly know has the respect of his peers! not just as at roosters. calling him a goose and loser f@#$ off eat a dick. as for you 1short with the little maths prob u presented about 6 teams only- u might have noticed we finshed 2nd, aftr a poor year, and with the team every1 thought would lose outright every week, we held our own in a few games and finshed 5th. not bad for our 2nds, how would your 2nds had done? anyway leave the maths problems next time to people who dont have to take of their shoes and socks when counting above 10

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association

St. Andrews have landed at least 6-7 quality cricketers this year so looking forward to hopefully going all the way. Melton sth avoid turf cricket again LOL

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association

I don't know about you Pots, but I've NEVER played against anyone who would like to be called "fine legs'' or ''one (sandwich?) short'' on the field! If only they listened when they played turf......or maybe they don't play at that level yet!?

Good stuff Tiger, can you give us any names? be good for the comp, also I think some other teams who were reasonably strong last year might struggle a little this yr. What are peoples thoughts?
