billy and cash game, how easy is it to reel in you st andrews stooges. got 2 bites in an hour. there is no way you could play 1 game on 2 grounds. also i, and am sure other cricket lovers, wont stoop to scumbag level and ruin a game of cricket, no matter what the situation is.

but i was serious about playing the game in pakistan! :D

Fine Legs

Spoke to Gooky today and he has given me the facts. Both Melton Centrals and St Andrews preferance was to play Grand Final. So all this stuff about Mick Callus getting 3 teams to agree and St Andrews are only to blame is all wrong. All as I can say now is move on the decision has been made and if your still around next year then hopefully you guys can improve get a top 2 spot and have another crack.

Really Billy .....i have a different view to that of Gooky. I was there Thursday and Wednesday, seems like the executive is running for cover....by the way shouldn't you be at a game right now? Oh yeah the comp must of been called off, a little early i would say. The weather looks pretty good now, surely you could get a game up on the matts now? The sides that finished on top would be spewing i dare say.....seems they are on a roll!!:rolleyes:

Roosters Hack may I take this opportunity to say that you have been hard done by, with this ridiculous decision by the excecutives.

Have you considered attending the AGM and that is the only way change will take place, and who ever you might be,you might be interested in nominating for a position on the board.

Anyway I believe the two senior members on the excecutive have had a good run, and they should be awarded an "All Australian" medal, and start enjoying there retirement, or concentrate solely on umpiring.

All The Best and Food for you to ponder over.

I think if they were to go to A Grade they would get flogged; we are talking about at least 10 blokes over the age of 45 (At least 5 over 50) who struggle in the field. I think to keep St John's going for a little while longer then we need these blokes around and B grade is the level that suits them. All these blokes are after is to be competitive and play cricket with their mates. I don't think that it's worth denying them that. I find it absolutely amazing that they keep winning; yesterday they were out of the game for at least a session but the pressure of chasing runs got to Melton South. I feel sorry for them but they were also the ones that were spruiking (during the game mind you!) that they were going to win easy. Funny how those things come back to bite sometimes.

Gday everyone, Im sure if they went to A Grade they would struggle against teams that make them run in the field! Then again Melton Sth were hot favorites. Just to clarify the ages. The opening bowlers are 56 and 53.The opening bats are 60 and 53. They play each game as if it's their last. They dont need to go to A Grade as they have been there done that 25 years ago! Just watch them play and listen to their banter and watch them "on the couch" after the game. You couldnt tell whether they won or lost. No wonder umpires love umpiring them. Maybe teams from all grades could take a leaf out of their book!

that's all good Newsbreaker...although you know full well who i am, however I just don't have the time to give to even consider it! All roosters will be far too busy getting ready for next season in which ever comp we join....All roosters have vowed to stick together, to agressivly recuit players and show that where ever we play we deserve to be treated with respect......and now it's pissing down again makes my last post seem a little silly...anyone would think i will take any opportunity to get stuck into this comps current admin.:rolleyes:

having played many spirited games against these "old" blokes....i can tell you whether you care to listen to me or not these blokes would be competitive at ANY level that they choose to play in!! I think one of them turned out from time to time at turf level this year.....they certainly would give Melton South a run for there money because they have something Souths lack....HEART!!!

the most upsetting part we've spent 8 months training, organising sponsers, functions, pitchs etc and it's all thrown away because of greedy pigs who have to cheat. I can understand if it was to hot or rained but we got there fair and square and we deserve our chance and so do congs.

After reading all your offensive comments will you get off your backside and volunteer to be on the Executive? I bet that quietens you for awhile!

Also i have not blamed St Andrews for anything ......i made myself Quite clear to the executive on Thursday night.......where i layed the blame at the feet of the executive after they failed to act last time this happened, thus opening the door for it to happen again!! LEADERSHIP AND INTEGRITY that's all we are looking for. Thankfully we think we will find those two virtues elsewhere...The Roosters are meeting with the VTCA and the WADCA this week. I hope it rains next weekend and you enjoy an even more hollow premiership..........:eek:

who cares about the turf comp. The more interesting news comes form the old farts in b grade who were seen training this morning on the couch in the clubrooms. Nothing like a can to get you ready for another premiership. First gooks chooks, then meltdown south.next please.

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association

Thanks hack I am a talker no doubt. Stumpy wish I could help the executives but to be don't have the time work long hours. To be a leader of the comp I find that it would have to be made up of people with vast cricket knowledge and professionals in the work place as well as a newly retired person, because if there's two or three people atleast one would have to be on just about full time. Also I want to see our club grow and prosper and it won't playing in this league unfortunatly it's a very low eb of cricket and we want to build. We have new rooms getting built so afresh start the bullshit with the wickets just made our decision easier that's all. Anyone that wants a fresh start with there cricket, play with awesome blokes a d enjoy new rooms and ground join the roosters in 2009/2010 u wont be disappointed go the roosters.

Adam,
This is Mick Callus here champ.

What you need to understand here is that I didn't get anything wrong at all!

I spoke to Joffa on the phone and he told me that he would replay the semi if the Exec committee directed him to do so!
Now I have spoken to Alan Cocks 30min ago so if you need any clarification ring him.
St Andrews CC were the first team into this meeting, they made it perfectly clear that they DID NOT want to replay the semi and wanted to stick with the original decision made by the exec committee, which was to play in the GF!
Joffa went into this meeting 2nd and said "We will do what ever the exec committee direct us to do"!
Now because St Andrews already pulled the pin on my proposal, there was no mention of a semi final replay.
This however does not mean Joffa wasn't prepared to replay the semi!!!
So there WAS only one team NOT prepared to replay the semi and that was St Andrews!
I went down to the exec meeting that night and got clarification on what both teams said - by the committee members!

I will stand up infront of every single person involved in this saga and tell them the same thing!
ST ANDREWS WERE THE ONLY TEAM NOT PREPARED TO REPLAY THE SEMI!!!!

Just because Joffa didn't request to replay the semi doesn't mean he was prepared to do it!

I don't care who dug up the pitch mate and I'm not pointing the finger at anyone!

I don't think you should be on this forum either as it is a conflict of interest and so is your brother opening the bat for St Andrews.

Oh Also.....
I don't need to worry about my over rate when my team have bowled out the undeafeted top side in the compition for 108 :eek::eek:
