lol, i hope we do they do play at a neutral ground, coz so far this season they have played on 2 roads and demolished both teams they played... they rolled gu for 58 at gu and digamn for 99 at newport... id much rather face our bowling on a shit deck than on a road, coz as they have proven they can roll top teams for lil runs on apparently a batters paradise

knowone cares about wyndhamvale

Well, well, well coming from a public servant who are nothing but oxygen thiefs living off our taxes, tied up in their own importance but actually contribute jack shit to the economy. It is a petty Jeff Kennett wasn't prime minister and he would have privatised the public service and got rid of all the free loaders which would have resulted in half the population of Canberra having to find a real job.

Our company is well poised to ride out the current economic turmoil because we are pro active and are willing to make the hard decisions unlike the government and its departments who procrastinate over everything and are unwilling to make any decisions.

what are you blokes on about..............

Alot of talk about who's playing who in the finals, who's bowling first and where at on here, yet still 3 of the final 4 postitions are not set:confused:

Lets get over this round first before the slanging matches begin..

My tips and thoughts....
WYNDV GU- Go with Wynd here after their big win last week against ND away, and the fact that they are at home on minefield city. I think GU are the side out of all teams under the most pressure this weekend, due to the fact that they are the reigning Premiers (x7) and need the win away to keep themselves in the hunt for a record 8 straight. Its also amazing what the extra week off did to help Wynd's Capt recover enough to play and help them stand a little bit taller last week. Although the wicket/outfield is a shambles, think GU would want a min 250+ runs on the board to feel confident as Wynd's only worry will be their batting, and who will put there head down long enough to make some runs other than Dennerly?

ND V LAV- Go with Lav on this one. Thought ND would stand up last week against Wyn, but failed to strike a blow. Maybe they do rely to much on to few with the bat or just thought it would happen????? Lav on a bit of a roll with a few scalps over the last few weeks, so would think their confidence would be up after that, and with a potential finals berth on the line, they will need to be on their game.

WN v IMPS Imps to win easily, but WN are more than capable to stand up here. Although Imps failed with the ball last time, think they will be way to strong for WN. Hinton to brain them with the bat, and Robbo to clean up with Man of the Match and 3 votes in the Dawes to take another medal.

Colts V Gelli- Colts just. Either team needs an outright and sides above to fail for them to have a chance. Neither side would want to give an inch and would think Gelli would want a nice scalp to finish off the season, but colts will just get there.

Looking forward to see the banter ramp up on Bigcricket sat night..

good luck to the 7 time boys chasing 180 on the minefield down there. vales will not touch that wicket and you cant score on it, proven. well except for when lavo got 250....

our boys... if its going to be 38 and a road like yesterday we'll be right. digman coming off embarrassing efforts and sluring the clubs name will again fail before finals. shaky shaky boys down there. all we can do is win we know that.

willi comp: couldnt jag that vital wicket champ? put on 70 and put you blokes out of a record 8 straight. red gumby no good, the champ no good and yourself dissappointing as per captains words!!!!

oh rohan, did you forget that colts are almost assured of an out right this week, thus making your game of no consequence? well done to the two vales tail enders , they knuckled down and did a fantastic job.182 is well within reach with our batting line up. love your reference to the red gumby, pity that every time he plays lavo he runs thru them.as for the champ being no good, reckon he bowled great yesterday as he has all season.i am looking forward to having a hit saturday, been smashing since christmas and will put a few into that tin shed pavillion.

No surprises in your picks but looking at the scores from yesterday it could be a big weekend next week. The big surprise would have to be the Gimps being beaten already. They wouldnt be able to blame the wicket if the results vault is right and they won the toss and batted.
Would think wyndhamvale will beat GU next week on dog poo paddock which could mean the colts come through on the inside as cannot see Lavo chasing that many.

Anyone know how to calculate the ladder percentage???

Use Laverton after round 10 as an example.

Step 1

Devide runs for by wickets lost ( 1984 / 79 = 25.113 )

Step 2

Devide runs against by wickets taken. ( 1642 / 91 = 18.043 )

Step 3

Devide step 1 by step 2 which will give you your percentage. ( 25.113 / 18.043 = 1.391 )

So in Laverton case their percentage would be 1.391

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

I have picked my team of the year in batting order below.

1. M Welsh 50.2 ave
2. R Hinton 46.0
3. D Jury 48.8
4. E Madden 46.8
5. K Collins 41.7 / 21 wickets
6. M Logan 36.0 / 8 wickes
7. G Robson 32.6 / 34 wickets
8. T Lawford 44.6 / 29 wickets
9. Chris Irving 34 wickets
10. C Plummers 24 wickets

If you could pick any team to chase down 180 odd at W'Vale with their finals spot on the line you would pick GU. Very mentally strong and know how to win. The last wicket stand for W'Vale has put the pressure on them but l think GU are odds on to get the runs as they have 80 overs available to make them. Deano will play a huge role as the anchor man with the rest batting around him.

Can anybody come up with a better side based on 2008/09 performances?[/QUOTE

Fair team, no bowlers from gu thats a first

No Chuggy and Frewie has been expensive taking 29 wickets @ 20.4.

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

look at all the nibbles ive recieved since the last post.

few things, what did we make at that 'poo wicket' against the vales?????
with a lesser attack, much better wicket and faster outfeild... how can you write us off that easy? beats me...
vales wont touch that wicket all week like they tried to do against us, if gu can handle it then good on them, but after getting rolled for 50 odd earlier in the year i know who i'd have my money on.
