Good points there.

I was listening and laughing at Skull and Harsha.

Essendon are doing pretty well. It was a great choice by the bombers to pick Matty knights as their coach.

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

Can I say apologies to Sticker Murnane and Geoff Martin who say they didn't say anything to my boys about Chris Banwell. I unequivocally apologise to those blokes and retract my previous statements. The Point blokes said they did but if Sticks said they didn't then that's good enough for me.

And to the prick who called my mobile with my sick wife and two children on Saturday night at 9.10pm and in their text wrote:

"Enjoy ur finals ********. Dont speak ******** u heard 2nd hand again. Why have so many point players left ur club? U think about that captain.."

You weak dog.

yeah saw scotty out at jd's sat nite. bought him a beer & asked him if there was much said throughout the day from the point lads. apparantly fair bit suggested to him throughout the day. fair dinkum steve, in a big game like this one, do your homework. if there is a more laid back cricketer in the bca than scotty, i'd like to meet him. sledging him is a waste of time, he couldnt care.

onto more important matters, this weeks games. whats the injury to dipper from wend? will he play this week. dont think wend can win without him...

East v Naps...obviously Naps, revamped and all hitting form at the right time of the year
Mt Clear v Wendouree...With Dipper gone then it does strengthen mt clears chances however wendouree's batsmen have also been hittin form of late as well so ill stick with wendouree

Dippa hasa hamstring injury. Is getting it checked today to find out extent of the injury. Bowled only three balls on Saturday before pulling up. The word is he won't play this week and if Wendouree beat the Mounties he would probably struggle toplay in the grand final. Being a true proffesional you know Dip will do everything he can to play this week and give Wendouree a chance to go one better than past couple of years. Time will tell though......

thats a pity if he doesnt get up....always enjoyed playing against him coz you knew that he was always bowling in the right areas & testing you. on top of that, never made a d*ckhead out of himself on the field either.

Only seen him loose it once. Although I reliably tell you he is completely different now to in his younger days. Very Very aggresive on the field and didn't mind a little bit of chatter.
Certainly mellowed in his years of wisdom. All the best to the great man in his recovery

You weak dog.

Just to clarify here. I was actually talking to some Point 2nd XI lads after the game about Premier League standard being better than here. On that subject I mentioned about how Banners cracked a spot in the St Kilda 1st XI and also made 2nd XI half centuries for St Kilda. I simply said I couldnt believe that Banners came back to Ballarat and struggled last year with the bat (because he is a much better player than that). By his own standards he would say he had a ********ty season last year. No way known would I say a bad word about that bloke. That was all the conversation was about. He is a champion, champion bloke and a talented cricketer and I just wanted to clarify the conversation in fairness to all concerned. Clearly was blown out of all proportions. Matter closed and onto finals this week.

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

Very true what u guys wrote about dipper. He is without a doubt one of the most genuine blokes ive played under and it does seem a harsh turn of luck that his team hits its best form of the year and has a great chance to push for it and then this...hope ya recover quick dipper!

From what i understand the finals will be east v naps at the eastern and mt clear v wendouree at austar....

I think wendouree may struggle without the services of the old wise man delmencio. especially on the well grassed wicket of the northern oval.

also with the mountie batting line up losing a good bowler like him...do they have anyone that can come in from the 2nds?
the battle of the batting line up's, who every bats first in this game will win.

Would guess the inclusions may be T.Miller who has taken 8 wickets against the mounties this week year, possibly Grant Bell who bowles mediums and bats well or Brett Raper to debut. Is certainly a problem for Wendouree as they lost their other three medium pacers throughout the year. (Collins, Smith T and Smith N.) Will certainly be undermaned in bowling department. If bats fire like they have been though they will certainly have a sizable total to defend though.

well it looks like the four best teams will play off in this years finals series..a bad bit of luck 4 the big dipper.. im sure he would play with a broken leg.. good luck 2 the big fella.. he'll play 4 sure..good luck 2 wend and mounties on the northern oval, after playing there on the weekend i can safely say there will be plenty in it 4 the bowlers..and good luck fielding on there 2...looking forward 2 playing on the eastern 4 the first time this year..should be a hard fought game this weekend with both teams in some good form..nathan yates is bowling with some real heat at the moment, thommo also bowling well 4 the nappers.. cant wait 4 the weekend, this is what you play for..go the custards!!!!!
