Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

A few changes that may occur. D. Fletcher is overseas and is thinking about the job at North Ballarat. Has been offered the position. R. Knowles considering rejoining combine. Will wait and see. If knowles leaves S giblett will not play at all. C. Banwell will only play a few games. If Fletcher leaves then Nicho to get job and a number of players to leave Mt Clear.

Great post Dave. Only drama is we play in the BCA and not for Australia.

SO true Lion Show, but I guess you just highlighted my point for me!!!! The mentality of people who dont realise the benfits of a little bit of hard work.... Doesnt matter what level you play at the concepts can all be applied the same. I bet you there is a fair correlation between the results of clubs last year and their actual physical conditioning!!!

Just merely stating that if people want to get more out of their pre season and improve performance they might want to start with the basics!! There are a lot of players running around out there in the BCA that would improve their performances greatly with increased fitness, not to mention avoiding un-neccessary injuries.

But I forgot this forum is for bagging each other out, not for helping. But as I said if there is anyone interesting in actually improving there performance send me a message, I would be happy to share ideas with you.

Their ones are their strongest grade. I dont think their lower grade teams have been performing too well ?? I think they have as many Golden Oldies in their top 2 teams as we do so they will have to do the job:D.

Firstly : I would hope that the firsts are the strongest grade at any club not just ours... Secondly : Ballarat Redans seconds and thirds both made finals last year and our thirds finished on top...

The first point is pretty obvious digger......and was actually an observation not a criticism. As to the second point - the twos and Threes struggled for a couple of years prior last season .....i didnt know how they went last year (i didnt really care either) ....and thats why i used the ?????

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

If Fletch does move on I reckon that they should get Chris Morris in as their coach.
He used to play for point at one stage. I reckon he could be a great coach.

Seems North are casting a pretty wide web in order to find a new captain, especially now that pete huntly is coaching, heard a few names been thrown about for it..

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

What's with moo and me? Chris used to teach me when I was in Barkly Minischool at Mount Clear College. I have got a lot of respect for him as a friend of his.
He is a top bloke that the younger guys can learn from. Easy to look up to and supports the hawks in the afl!

Back in Ballarat at the start of August. If you asked me a few weeks ago I would have said yes definetly, but now there could be a few other things on the go. Will wait and see what happens when I get back. Really keen at getting back into things, but as many of us know and have discussed in the past cricket just doesnt pay enough!!! Nah seriously it has sucked being in a country which thinks cricket is the same as baseball, looking forward to having a hit at some stage hopefully this coming season.

I did hear a little whisper that 'Hammer' Huntley could be taking up to 3 players with him to north. One of which is a left armer from the Grand Final team to go as captain. That could be a good step to North being competitive this year but could upset alot of facers. Only time will tell.

Perhaps Chris would be able to teach you a lesson or two hundred in maturity.

Chris Morris was one of my teachers when going to school. He was very easy to get on with and very mature. He would listen to you if you had a problem and give some advice.

The fact that I know him personally and knew that he played cricket, means that I know a lot more about the guy than what you would know about Jarrod Burns.
As far as your knowledge on what respect is, you don't have any respect.

perhaps i owe an apology here.....my critisism was not directed at chris morris. i dont know the man & im sure he is a good bloke.

my critisism was aimed directly to you pidge. my school teacher mr shaw was a good bloke as well, knew stuff all about cricket, but he would listen if you had a problem, perhaps i should put his name forward for the job!!!!!!

just admit it pidge, no-one responds kindly to your posts, coz u have proved time after time that you know stuff all about the game.

by the way, had a few beers with burnsy over the long weekend, you know, that bloke you reckon i no nothing about. he said to please leave his umpiring achievements out of a cricket conversation board & he would appreciate it if you stopped using his name as if you 2 were best mates. cheers.

I think this whisper may have come from the wind through the willows. None of the Naps lads will be leaving to play at other B.C.A. clubs and that is pretty much confirmed. Work and women play their part but otherwise we should be all hands on deck.

You can just support it. Like what I do.
You continue to have a dig instead of actually talking about cricket. Now go away unless you are going to talk cricket.
You are full of shit mate. You talk a lot of crap on here. You post on here when you are pissed and get stuck into me. now piss off and leave me alone.|@
