Re: City of Moorabbin Cricket Association 09/10

Evening All,

Adam

Have to agree with Clock still a few bugs to iron out as I had to look away from the screen so as not to see the ventiliquist tricks. Also how does one access previous episodes and why did both of the Rd 2 episodes just cut off at the end?

Clock

Good luck to do better than your Longy donut this week and From my memory Shintaro had those star darts didn't he?

Arch

I agree with you and as a good friend of mine said just fine them out of existence it will soon get them submitting the scores.

Did see a bit of colour in the local area today at the Newsagents as I was passing through the area in the Beemer.More in the local rag than your Sunday or Monday throne paper!

John Halliday the Lakeside Legend was always a monty to have the lake sides scores in by 8:30 to 9 pm of a Saturday night, but sadly either John has past the job on or just doesn't have time either.

I am in the midst of assembling the Bottle of Merlot and the bottle of Horlicks on a nice piece of polished timber.I was a little surprised the new Horlicks bottle has changed shape fron the old one Merl was used t:confused:nce assembled I plan to take a photo and use it as my avatar.Stay tuned.

Jimmy

Are you going to expose the Woolnough Wrapper or is he a mystery like Merlot?

Just noticted that Merl needs to raise the bat again as he reaches the magical 150 babbling on posts.Hope there is many more to come as we all continue to be gentlemen on the BCF.

until next time........................vino sipping poster..........Merlot

Sugar,
It is like watching an old episode of Samurai. The dialogue is all over the place Shintaro.Content is good just waiting for the judge to fire up.

Clockman,
you are a man of your generation it seems, your reference to my boyhood hero '' Shintaro '' has encouraged me to get out my old Samarai dress up costume.
Might just leave it on for the girlfriend for when she gets home, i'll even throw a few star knives at the possums when they crawl across the roof.
The black ninjas were always the best, and combined with my second favourite '' Tombei the mist's '' iga ninjas ,they were an awesome combination.

Brett, hope you get a game this weekend, who does this English recruit actually play for?

I see we have another young bloke trying his luck at the premier turf comp, the son of podgy opening bowling legend who was part of a dynamic duo who terrorised ''A'' grade for many a year.
Good luck to the kid, hope he sticks at it.;):):D

Sugar and Adam, great concept, but i agree with some of the comments, when i watched the show i just thought that if you actually moved and wobbled your heads at bit, it would look like a version of the Thunderbirds starring Scot and Virgil.

Don't let it stop you though, but some more content about what's happening at ANA would be good as well.

Re: City of Moorabbin Cricket Association 09/10

Merl, Clocker & Archie...

Agreed that the complications with my amateurish editing in not ideal, and it does take away from the overall concept. I'll aim to ensure that it's corrected when the next episode airs in a fortnight's time. We are encouraging people to view the show via the Bentleigh ANA website, however if you wish to view previous episodes, go to YouTube - BentleighANA's Channel.

Glad to hear that people are interested to hear more about what's happening at our club, which we are more than happy to share.

Re: City of Moorabbin Cricket Association 09/10

Arch - UM has no concern for the wide calls. I was merely responding to the question of the cult figure's decision making. Dubious wide calls were all I got from the lads on the weekend. As is almost always the case, all batsmen were spared the dreaded finger when hit on the pads.
As far as our catching goes, I couldn't agree more. May even be a little critical on U/12s comparing them to us. It's purely a mental issue as 80% of the chances we grass you would expect most senior cricketers to take. Unfortunately, it has now become an accepted practice in our game.

Arch, your attempts to antagonise me about fence sitting is the thing that is getting boring (too much Horlicks perhaps), as you should be aware, I am like Peter Parker, a "mild mannered reporter". I was stating facts that I figured you should be aware of before you started getting stuck in.

Merlot, The Woolnough Wrapper has asked for a short period of anonymity, I am sure he will be revealed sooner rather than later. I figured the writing style would have given it away.

Jimmy, are you referring to his writing style, or his delay in writing altogether?

Far from amateurish Sugar. The fact that you and the Judge are prepared to spend the time and effort is a credit to your club and to you as individuals.Unfortunately Archie, Merlot and me are quickly becoming the old grouches from the Muppett show who sit there and hurl ridicule and abuse at the performers..:D

Re: City of Moorabbin Cricket Association 09/10

Evening All as the rain continues to fall and drench our grounds,

Adam,

I wouldn't call it amateurish just a few bugs to iron out for you and the tribunal chairman in waiting, and at least you are doing something to promote the CMCA unlike Barrack and his mob.

UM,

Other comps have lines drawn two foot from the middle stump on both sides which takes the guess work out of the calls, another good idea Barrack rejected years ago.

Jimmy,

Merlot is not that clever to work out writing styles as the one I thought it would be, already reveals his identity so I couldn't see the problem.

Will tune into my other favourite sports station SEN to see if it stacks up against your level of expertise.

Clock,

Not sure about the old grouch tag as I pegged you for being a younger colt, and I know Archie is a good 20 years younger than Old Merl.

Arch & Clock

Notice on page 2 of today's Green Guide that SBS is screening a documentary on the impact that the Samuari had in Australia in the 1960's when it was the most popular children's show in Aust.Due to screen on Nov 4.

It would have no chance with the current political correctness ah la Hey Hey its Sat and the dwarf races.Merl can only remince to the good old days ( apologies UM )

Went out to today and purchased another bottle of Merlot from Dan Murphy's ( the plug could be worth a bottle or two ) with the very distinctive Bowlers Run label. My current thing is to use one as a perpetual and one for the lucky winner to keep.once the Grandchild has come around and shown Merl how to use these modern digital cameras and downloaded it to the computer I will be able to show you the goods.

Jimmy no answer on presenting it on your program yet??????

Remember to get your tips in and I hope PDog has recovered sufficiently to read the fixture.

Tut Tut Jimmy,
i'm not trying to antagonise anyone, i also work on facts, and quite simply, the topic of conversation needs addressing by the powers higher up than yourself, its always a bit difficult having to support your employers, hence your comments about trying to explain the issues diplomatically, so i'll use that word instead of fence sitting from now on.
We are all aware that if the powers read this forum, which some of them do, then by offering opinions may actually help the comp to improve, that's all anybody could expect.
Anyway, lets wait and see shall we !!!!!
