who are the bats that will make the most runs this year? the best bowler debate has run its course

nominations for mine:
harris, anostopolous and bunting from elwood
krotofil from mackie
mikkelson and merrifield from ana
duddy from esbc
amoore from centrals
pickering from washington
pothitos from union

who have been the best bats over the past 10 years?

I reckon he'll go down as the most over-rated played in the comp this year by seasons end. Played against him a bit a few years back everyone reckons he's just going to walk into the CMCA and dominate. He won't. The words arrogant dud spring to mind.

Truely flattered champ. The 3 of us have had a nice start to the season but hopefully you'll still have that opinion in March. And more importantly, hopefully the Woods will be playing deep into March. Two wins on the board and i reckon if we can continue our batting form we should be able to chase down 215 this week and make it 3 from 3. He might cop a bit from being on that cricket show but Mikkelson certainly can bat a bit. Very hard to get out.

Round 3 winners;
Union - Can't see Le Page making that many.
Bentleigh Uniting - Hampton Central don't seem to make 200, let alone 240.
Tie between Sandy and West Bentleigh.
Mackie to take full points against Carnegie South.

Don't be stupid mate, you're travelling real well at the moment. I reckon we'll be seeing more of eachother on a Saturday pretty soon.

Few questions....
What happened to the other 2 games? Even allowing for a biased Elwood call there's an Omega/Wash Ups clash you've overlooked. 272 might be a few too many for the Omega bats. Good to see them being highly competitive with the young group that copped a fruitless season last year.
Who tips a tie? Seriously. Get off the fence. East Sandy will mow down 256 comfortably.
Is full points considered the 6 points for a win, or is it maximum points (10) you expect Mackie to claim? With an 80 run buffer I reckon Mackie will roll the Redbacks and chase down what's left.
Agree with the other two predictions.

Well i'm tipping us obviously. I made mention to that in the paragraph i wrote. I mean full points, like the fullest, so the most, 10. And i forgot about the Washington game. I don't think Omega will chase down that total. It will give VFTV something to smile about.

Boys, you can tune into SEN at approx 10.20pm tonight for the CMCA wrap for about 10 minutes. Probably the 1st of 3 times for the season as they work their way around the suburban competitions. Might even hear your comments from here quoted back at you.

i dont think we should get ahead of ourselves, 256 is still a pretty good total on any ground. early wickets and they could be chasing their tails

Spare me buddy. I wuldn't be too shore of that. craig and Goldy are in good form up the top of the order and where getting 20s and 30s from every1. i'm seeing them pretty dam well aswell for this time of year. haha
i reckon we'll pass them 5 down with me in the pads next in on the sidelines.

What do you call a show about the English Premier League that barely mentions Manchester United...... The CMCA cricket report on SEN?

Good stuff on the majority of the show except for the failure to mention the "Big Dogs" of the comp, East Sandy. Surely next time we should be first mentioned. Or you could have spoken about all our flags when talking about the history of the comp. Oh well, good show all the same.

And there was no mention of bigcricket.....

For whoever you are trying to pretend you are Charlie, your a muppet.. Considering I was taking his cash at the cards table at the time you posted, you may want to consider reading the top thread on the forum page...

Multiple accounts = Banned.. the countdown begins!!

& also to add that posting under an alias is soft, but to post as a person we all know is absolutely weak as piss...!!

Might want to check your facts aswell you child, the big fella was in Qld @ wedding last sat.. therefore wont be strapping on the pads in LS this sat vs Uniting..

Fair dinkum, some people need to get a life!!

Yeah, probably harsh on your blokes Marto but I was getting the rush when that game came around. Still, everything that pumps our comp up a bit has to be good.
Like the Irish horses at the cup look for an improved showing next time and I think you just guaranteed yourself a mention.

While we're getting our facts right, Burger, here's a little geography lesson for you. The black line on the right indicates Charlie's travels over the weekend. Note that Qld seems to be above the white shaded area.... ;)

WHAT??? The BIG DOGS didn't get a mention? That's very disappointing.
I'm tipping the Sandy boys to chase down West Bentleigh's score tomorrow. The rain will slow the ground down a fair bit but i still think 250 will be made.
I'm tipping a 40 from Biggy, 70 from Corp, 20-30's to Bennett X 2, LD, Devereuax, Manders and maybe even a few for the old prick at the end.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

I unfortunately missed SEN last night, but I do hear that Bentleigh ANA's Tim Caterson getting 215 not out in E Grade raised particular interest on the show.

They probably didn't think that someone who bats lower than you in a cricket side would be capable of such an innings.
