Cougar - surely you are just stirring the pot.

The Heath are going up and Centrals are going down - trust me.

seen him play, not as quick as you suggest brett!!!
gets help of good bowling turf decks, smart bowler, he won't get the same help off the lifeless cmca decks..
the cmca has had players come in and people have had huge raps on them and they haven't delivered,, ie liam pickering, mat merifeild,
any way brett, you dont seem sure it is in the cmca, he should stay with turf if thats is his preference. good turf cricketers dont make good cmca cricketers......

He is a good bowler not as quick as you make him out too be,but is a handy cricketer with the bat and bowl,Mordialloc will struggle in div 1 without him.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

The child has created a bit of discussion to liven up a rather dull off season site.

Did he get the fitness job at the VCA and is he really coming home to the Lake?

A little bird told me the sky blues may tempt a former star back.

Gold caps to float a few one year only contracts!

Discussion with the junior golden Greek continue on!

BBQ boss re appointed !

Jack Watts the go dees saviour in 2012 brings Brighton Grammar back from the dead against Grammar.

Humphrey B Bear still in Australia.

More snippetts to come..................until next time Merlot

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Southside's Sasha Danilovic has confirmed he'll suit up for Highett West in 09/10. A couple of ex-regular senior players (one a former club champion winner starring in a severely overplayed 'Big M Edge' ad) to return next season as well. Should be a fairly promising year with those inclusions.

not being rude but i've never heard of sasha danilkovic, hope he can play so you guys can get to play a grand final,

bringing back ex senior players might do your side harm, with all these youngsters you have been talking about, they might get shafted to the 2's and lose interest......

i'd say you probably need a decent left arm quick in your squad...ive heard along the grape vine, there are other things in your life that might keep you out here and there next season...

Fair call, but I think you'll find the 2 to come back will probably replace 2 blokes that were fortunate to get a game come finals time. The youngsters held their own and showed a lot of promise. They'll always get the nod ahead of older players if it comes down to it.

As for Danilovic, from my limited experience playing against him he looks a capable bowler that can wield the axe.

If you're angling at the little fella, I'll be playing all year. Wouldn't be the first, and won't be the last, to play cricket with a little tyke in the household.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Nicholas Burger McMillan,

Since my unfortunate departure from the CMCA I have and will have nothing to do with the organisation and it's associated activities.

Please leave my name out of any association with the CMCA.

Danilovic is a very talented bat and handy medium bowler. Watched him make 70* playing against him about 6 years ago. Always seemed to be a part time player and not always focused but may have had something to do with his surroundings. If you can get him fair dinkum he will be an asset.

Adrian, whatever the reasons for your departure, whether you were wronged or not (which I don't know), you have to get over the hump and move on. You did some great work in your time, if you feel it went unrewarded then maybe it was for the wrong reasons. Life is too short to carry stuff forever.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Jimmy Olson,

I have no idea who you are apart from some comic book newspaper reporter but don't offer me advice as to where my good name is associated with a shoddy organisation!

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

I believe Centrals have been relegated & 'the Heath' promoted.. think this decision was made last week or two?

If you are the real Adrian (which I highly doubt), surely you are joking??
If you umpire in an association for 20+ years, there are always going to be references made from time to time, can't change the past..

Merl, how many Burger bourbons are we having on the 'go dees' vs the mighty Hawks.. I will give you 30pts start.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Just to confirm that the Executive have informed us that we've been promoted to Longy.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Nicholas,

Just as you say there is only one Buddy Franklin let me say there is only one Adrian Patrick Fisher and if you want me to prove my identity I could just mention when I got you to remove your footy socks at Simpson reserve or the hot dogs I have bought off you at Ronald McDonald reserve.Anyway you should know me well enough to know I say what I mean.

Neither you nor the non de plume Jimmy Olson along with many others who have tried will get me to have anything to do with the cmca and it was 35 years membership before the President and secretary of two bodies within the CMCA coercied members to blantantly make an incorrect decision ( in my opinion ) and therefore end my association.

I don't plan to revisit this site but just to reiterate my earlier comment please do use my good name in relation to CMCA matters.

Thank You in anticipation

Please do tell why did you leave? There are lot of people like me who have not been told the reason. It must have been pretty serious to leave after 35 years and take up District Cricket umpiring.
